Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4
To those who redeemed the coupon, does it e-mail you a link you can go to at a later time to print the coupon off, or do you have to print it out right then and there? And does it use some kind of weird applet like Smartsource or something like that? Just curious, cuz I'm going out of town next week and thinking about popping into Best Buy, since they gave me a random $5 gift certificate that expires on the 28th, and if I combine that with the coupon, I can get the Hocus Pocus Blu-Ray for $5 and some change. I currently don't have ink in my printer, so I'll have to go to the library or to my aunt's to print it out, so I wanna know all this ahead of time. DMR currently has these for sale, and if I can just go to my e-mail at a later time to get the link to print off the coupon, I'll go ahead and get it.

I got the same coupon "My Best Buy", and I don't have a printer, or smart phone. I went to Best Buy and they will look it up in your Reward Zone and give you the $5 discount on whatever you buy before the expiration date.
You don't have to waste time at the library or whatever, you just go into Best Buy and have your Reward Zone card handy, and you are okay to go.

I'm talking about the Disney Movie Rewards coupon, not the Best Buy gift certificate, which, as you said, thankfully doesn't need to be printed to be used. But I think I've figured out how to get the DMR coupon. I dunno why DMR hasn't developed a smartphone app yet - the coupon could be stored in that.

Anybody know why Mufasa was a code for their Halloween promotion? Especially when everything else was associated with villains... And Halloween-y things...

The clue was something about who was Scar's brother. Why the code wasn't just Scar, I have no idea.UmbrellaFish wrote:Anybody know why Mufasa was a code for their Halloween promotion? Especially when everything else was associated with villains... And Halloween-y things...

He was a spirit at a point in the movie? Your guess is as good as mine.UmbrellaFish wrote:Anybody know why Mufasa was a code for their Halloween promotion? Especially when everything else was associated with villains... And Halloween-y things...
Oh, and DMR has a special discount for their copies of Ichabod & Mr. Toad. It even comes with a special slipcover. I ordered it, and it only took 90 of my points, instead of the 480 it was supposed to cost with the sale. I can't tell if this is a malfunction or an extra-special reward, but it's worth trying out if you want a copy of the movie.

Thanks. Too bad I can't see if it'll let me claim it for only 90 points. If only I could cancel that order I just placed earlier today for The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes.

Thanks for the heads up on "Ichabod & Mr. Toad". My DVD copy has been through the wars, and I needed to upgrade to a new copy, and the bonus is I will get a new sleeve also. I am really enjoying DMR.

Thanks, E! This is one of the few features I don't own at all, so I'm glad that I'll finally have it (with a cool slipcover, too). I'm guessing it's just the Gold Collection release with the slipcover.enigmawing wrote:Here ya go.

Yep you're right. It originally came out through The Disney Movie Club. The only new thing is the shiny slipcover.TheSequelOfDisney wrote:Thanks, E! I can't see where it's 90 points though.

Yeah, I couldn't find that either; I'm fine with using 480 points for it, though (it's not like DMR has had anything of interest to me in the past year or so).disneyboy20022 wrote:Yep you're right. It originally came out through The Disney Movie Club. The only new thing is the shiny slipcover.

In other news, my The Little Mermaid poster shipped on the 18th, so hopefully it'll get here in a few weeks!

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4
I ignored those DMR leaflets in DVDs and Blu-rays for years. I honestly thought it was going to pants - buy a lot to get nearly nothing kind of deal. Signed up yesterday out of boredom. So glad the codes don't expire - thanks Disney! I was actually impressed. I have quite alot of codes considering I buy most of my DVDs second hand.
My sister caught me stealing a code out of one her DVDs so I promised to get her something (Aladdin - we generally share but she is starting a separate collection in case one of us moves out) and I got Cinderella bluray. Wasn't a title I was planning to buy as it isn't one of my favourites but it was free.
Just wish Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and The Nightmare Before Christmas blu-rays were avaliable to redeem as I'd like to own these next. Know they were released under Touchstone but a girl can dream. I guess I'll pick them up after Christmas and hold on to my points for something else. TNBC was only available as 3D blu-ray and I'm not buying into that no matter how much Disney insists. Bad enough they got me to buy into blu.

No problem, guys.
If you get the DMR emails it's directly linked as a "3-Day Secret Sale" and I think it's the only way you can find the deal. I'd be tempted to grab it myself except I already got it (and the special slipcover) back when the mystery DVDs were super cheap.

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4
I called Disney to see if they could cancel my order and refund my points, but they'd already shipped it. Damn.
On the upside, my aunt was able to print off my coupon, so, provided Best Buy has any in stock, I should be able to get Hocus Pocus on Blu for $5 after coupon and Best Buy gift certificate.

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4
I noticed that. I only just recently logged back into DMR because I decided I would see if I could redeem my points for something nice from the two TLM editions I bought + Kiki's Delivery Service, which I just bought. I don't buy many Disney releases, so I rarely go into DMR, but I noticed they didn't have much of anything I would want to redeem points for...TheSequelOfDisney wrote: (it's not like DMR has had anything of interest to me in the past year or so).

Re: The Disney Movie Rewards Discussion & Info Thread Vol. 4
I still keep up with DMR's e-mails, Facebook page, the site, etc, but I have to admit, before the sale on the movie, it's been a while since I made an order.
I've been hoping for more Treasures sets to show up, but that hasn't happened in a long time.
I might end up getting The Muppets: Season 1, I guess, but I'm disappointed they don't have any posters or anything that would be interesting (the one thing I've got through DMR before this was a large version of the theatrical re-release '90s TLM poster; I had more points left, but since I haven't logged in a couple Wait, do you mean season 2? Because I can only find the second and third seasons of The Muppet Show on their site.
