Apparently, Anna will have a song titled For the First Time in Forever, with Elsa also featuring a little. (post edited slightly)

Might as well do another running count of the songs in this film while we are at it:

Opening Song (Ice harvesters)
For the First Time in Forever (Anna)
Anna-Hans duet
Let it Go (Elsa)
Kristoff song
In Summer
Anna-Kristoff song/Troll song (Possibly different)

Anyone know if it was confirmed anywhere that Anna and Elsa would sing together? Either way, there seem to be quite a number even discounting reprises or further unrevealed songs.

Yay, singing Anna doll. Now that is what I want this Christmas.

(Though I feel that "For the First Time in Forever" sounds like a song Rapunzel would sing.)

I think it was noted somewhere that Anna and Elsa's song is either an original song or a reprise of "Let it Go".

But other than that, I don't know.

Yeah, Robert lopez's twitter.

So, from what I'm getting: For the First Time Forever is the Anna/Elsa duet.

Really, Disney, if you gave us one song title, give us all of them

For the first time ever could be Anna singing about how the gates are finally open and now she can go out and do shit.

Elsa could have a small part where she's singing about how terrible it is.

I feel like Anna's parts are gonna be like the song Cinderella sings in the second movie. She just goes around the kingdom singing and then gets knocked over by Sitron...

Yes, in the FAKE "leaked soundtrack"

So, no video of Anna singing doll? :(

Oh, and my suspicion is that Giants will be set in Spain.

Could be Italy, but my money is on Spain.

I kinda like the last one and I think it's just the lighting. That Elsa picture is really cool.

At last, an official title song !!! I am so happy...
On another hand... " For the First Time In Forever " sounds... so classic, so cliché, so Broadway. So déjà vu.
Sounds like a wish song in a Disney sequel.

So, anyway, anyone could tell it won't be a song about sisterhood sung by the growing little princesses... Too bad.
Hope it will be as good as Bobby's

Agreed. That was one of the first things I thought: It sounds too plain for a Disney movie. I can picture like "When Will My Life Begin?" with the pop tunes and stuff or "For a Moment" from TLM 2. But, it also does sound great though. If only they would release the video of the ACTUAL singing doll!

There's quite a bit of negative criticisms coming about the songs coming from the people who have heard them.

It reminds me of "When Will My Life Begin?" just because "For the first time in forever" sounds like "For like the first time EVER, I'm completely freeeeee" in that song.
Well, regarding the criticism, Let It Go is not bad (at least what we heard), but yeah, I don't like the beginning that much. The worst I expect is the Tangled songs style, and that is not bad. Hope those critics are just totally different from my future opinions.

I'm probably in the minority in that I really like the soundtrack for Tangled. I didn't enjoy Winnie the Pooh's soundtrack, but found the soundtracks to both Avenue Q and Book of Mormon to be brilliant (thought a little raunchy for my personal tastes :)

I'm going to stay optimistic and wait to form my opinion when I hear the songs myself. I like what I like . . . sometimes that lines up with popular consensus and sometimes it doesn't.

I know one is from the girl who confirmed the Hans/Anna song. Who else?

But, you know what?

PRINCESS AND THE FROG MUSIC=THE GENERAL PUBLIC HATES
TANGLED MUSIC=THE GENERAL PUBLIC HATES
FROZEN=???

People always say that they hate music from the newer movies because everyone expects the songs to be just like the 90s music or everyone compares the songs to 90s music. That's the problem, I think. People in this generation (the kids today) are going to compare the music of future movies to these 3 movies someday.

But, there was a lot of positive feedback from people who went to the expo about the 3 songs

I actually really liked the score to Tangled than that of Princess and the Frog because the songs have better construction even though it's no where near as good as Alan's other work but Mandy Moore, the directors, and the lyricist might have had something to do with that.

Hopefully it isn't the case with Frozen since they gotten a Broadway cast and all.

General public hates? I mean, I'm not surprised with TPAF because it has TOO many songs (I just like 2 or 3). But general public hates Tangled songs? Ok, so If It's the same with Frozen I think I'll be okay. I actually know every song (except I've got a dream) from Tangled and I specially love the reprises. I know it could be way better, but I love them and I like the rest of the songs. And from princess and the frog I kinda liked Almost There (The fact that it's an "I Want" song, Tiana's enthusiasm, and the gorgeous animation) and Friends on the other side. So, while I like the movie, the voices, the characters, I'll end up liking the song. That's why I liked "Mother Knows Best". If I had had heard out of the movie, without having watched it and stuff, I think I wouldn't have liked it.
And If Frozen songs get to be bad, which I think won't happen, the voices are still amazing (The whole cast is from the musicals world, from broadway, it can't be a coincidence!)
