Please tell me the music is at least a melody from the movie

It’s surprising how they are not only using a similar marketing strategy, but they are almost copying the Tangled posters.
Disney Spain has also released one of those latest posters:

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Earlier today on the forum, a discussion came up about Elsa's hairstyle, which some people classified in a way that didn't seem likely, as far as I could see.
Not being a hairstyling expert, I took the question to a professional hairstyling forum. Most sections of said forum are exclusively reserved for actual professionals in the salon industry, but they do have a consumer section, where it was possible for me to pose the question.
Here are the responses:
http://www.salongeek.com/consumer-queri ... style.html
The most authoritative responses seem to be "fluffy layers" and "disconnected layers," with the latter confirmed by three other members. A google search shows that these styles do exist. "Disconnected sparkle layers" seems to be an even more specialized term, with "sparkle cut" being a relative recent innovation.
And apparently it was a trending style as recently as last season, which would make sense as to why Disney would adopt it.
(Though note also the latter observation, suggesting only a few layers at the front, and no layers otherwise.)

i think its supposed to represent long bair with wispy bits of 'younger' growth falling out of the braid. I think its known as whisper layers but happy for another geek to correct me on this.
No, it's definitely fluffy layers. Was quite popular last season.
Id recommend you ask your hairdresser for disconnected sparkle layers. Just make sure they're disconnected, otherwise you have a shrek cut.
Then there's also this observation:I'd secure your hair in a ponytail at the front of your head and then blunt cut just above the hair band with clippers...
No one mentioned that it could be a "mullet," and when I posed the question again, just to be sure, the response was:The only pieces that aren't in the plait are the short layers around the front , the plait looks all the one length as there are no shorter pieces coming out of it. It's just the way it's "styled" lol
The front layers are swept back , I don't think the rest of the hair is layered at all
Given that this is a forum of hairstyling professionals, I'll take their word for it. They seem to have expertise in the field.how is that in any way a mullet? Lol x

Tangled's posters look more Dreamworks-like than Frozen.Sotiris wrote:Tangled vs Frozen: Poster Comparison

I love how the Big Elsa poster looks like a broadway musical or something. Because of her, because of the colours, because of the stars. It's not the best poster ever made, but It's the best official poster ever made for this movie so far. And it actually makes it look like a Disney musical.

I'm not sure why it's so important to label Elsa's hairstyle?
Unless one is actually offended over the whole mullet thing.
Re: Frozen: Part IV
Jesus, take it easy about the hair. Talk about overkill. I don't think anyone here was trying to be a hairdressing expert. To most, the term "mullet" simply means "short in front, long in back." Which Elsa's hair obviously is, regardless of what the "technical" term is. Does it really matter?

Re: Frozen: Part IV
All the posters of Frozen are already a thousand times better than Tangled's Dreamworks-y posters.
My absoulte favorite is the one with Elsa and the others riding on Sven, it not only tells you what kind of movie Frozen will be, but it also gives you the tone and atmosphere of the film.
For once Disney has done a good job on them. Great job guys

Yes, because I was curious and wanted to find out. If it doesn't matter to you, that's obviously fine too. There are others things people discuss here that don't matter to me as much, so I simply glide over them.SWillie! wrote:Jesus, take it easy about the hair. Talk about overkill. It's an aspect of Frozen that people asked about, so it's certainly on topic.
At any rate, I was told this:
Now, I wouldn't respond to that by saying, "Step back everyone, let the expert speak," but it was a pretty clear assertion and one that didn't seem correct to me, so I wanted to find out. Therefore I asked actual experts if that style is "in fact called a mullet," as was asserted, and experts laughed at the suggestion. Now we have better information.DancingCrab wrote: She may not have a Joe Dirt Mullet, but that style of longer length in the back then on top is in fact called a mullet.
I wanted to be sure for my own curiosity, and I figured the info was worth posting here because the question of Elsa's hairstyle came up here.
Re: Frozen: Part IV
Haha fair enough... Maybe don't fret the small stuff so much though. I'm glad you're excited for the movie but I'm afraid you're setting yourself up for disappointment if it isn't absolutely perfect in every way.

My dear PrincessElsa, only because you went to so much trouble to try and debunk the title of "Mullet" from your precious snow queen and make me sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, did I go ahead and ask several proffesional hair stylists who I am friends with and work with in real life (not random people claiming to be experts on an internet forum) what her hair style was. Here are the replies so far "Well...it's kind of a mullet" "Business in the front, party in the back" "Vogue posted an article that mullets were coming back in style. I guess this new Disney chick is the herald" and "Eww, totally a mullet" These comments from people I know work as professional hairstylists who even have them gosh darn fancy degrees.
So you have not convinced me otherwise, but thank you for trying so hard.
She has a mullet. So you might as well take Elsa's advise and "Let it Go"

At least Elsa isn't real or else she might need a restraining order against PrincessElsa the poster.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Well, when I look up the member pages of the individuals who answered my post on that forum, many of them seem to be either working professionals (the one who laughed at the very suggestion that it could be a mullet has his own hairstyling business (with a Facebook page, Web site, etc., the real deal) and has worked in the industry for seven years), another lists in his education college hairstyling programs, and so forth.DancingCrab wrote:My dear PrincessElsa, only because you went to so much trouble to try and debunk the title of "Mullet" from your precious snow queen and make me sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, did I go ahead and ask several proffesional hair stylists who I am friends with and work with in real life (not random people claiming to be experts on an internet forum) what her hair style was. I suppose it's possible that anyone could make exaggerated claims online, though I'm personally inclined to doubt it, and they certainly wouldn't create entire business-oriented sites.
I asked the question directly. None of them asserted that it was a mullet. One laughed at the very suggestion. I was half-expecting there at least to be a debate among them as to whether or not it was a mullet, which I asked them about twice. None said it was, one laughed at the very thought. For now, then, I'm satisfied that it's not, until I see some professional put their name to the claim that it is -- or better still a Disney character designer assert that it is. And when they do, I will be convinced. (Though even then, I would still know that there is, at the very least, no professional consensus on this.)
Jennifer Lee's own response to the question is not, shall we say, an endorsement of the the mullet claim. She's obviously staying out of it, for now:
https://twitter.com/alittlejelee/status ... 8088048640
And when I look at Vogue's article on mullets, they look nothing to me like what Elsa wears. But not being an expert in this field, I turned to people on a professional hairstyling forum with some credentials, and they gave their response. Now everyone can read what they wrote and make their own decisions.

Jennifer Lee isn't 'staying out of it'
She called it (us) sad.
And she's right.

This is the saddest debate I've ever seen.
at caring so much that people are saying your precious Elsa, a fictional cartoon character in a movie you haven't seen yet but are obsessed with for some reason, has a mullet. Chill the hell out. You're not Elsa's publicist.
