I thought that Pocahontas didn't do so well because it turned American History into a Romeo and Juliet tale which ticked some people off ? And as another member mentioned before it was rather serious and " stiff " xDtomakpo wrote:

It was meant to be sort of racist; so then the main character Pocahontas could prove them wrong and tell them that racism was wrong. The characters doing wrong, so Pocahontas could drive them down the right path sending the racism is wrong message across.
