I think the U.S. will probably get the sequels, just at a layer date perhaps e.g. Peter Pan was released in February and the sequel was released in August.

I think the surprise is that the USA isn't getting a Trilogy Box Set for the time being, given that Europe is getting one and that in the US for the past two Octobers, the Diamond Blu Ray's have been released as a trilogy like Cinderella and The Lion King.

maybe they already knew about the error and wanted to minimize the damage.

Haven't they released the sequels in the US always months later than the Diamond Edition of the original? This is nothing new.

This is the US trailer for the sequels:

It confirms that they will release the sequels in a Two-Movie Collection (like they did with Cinderella's sequels)

Wow - how embarrassing - I had totally forgotten about that trailer ! And it is a jolly good trailer as well !

Got my boxset last night - TLM is almost a vanilla release it is so empty of extras. And I love Jodi with all my heart, but her New Fantasyland promo is so cringe.

But what was intriguing is Ariel's Beginning - it is packaged really nicely and presented really well. The blurb has changed as well, 'For the very first time bluray etc etc'. They seem to be 'bigging' that prequel up which is nice as I think it deserves it. Return to the Sea doesn't fare so well, nothing new as far as quickly scanning over the cover goes. Both have the same covers as their initial releases, which is disappointing. AB has all new previews and menu too.

Yes, 3h of bonus content plus an additional audio commentary is really nothing.

There is no way there is 3 hours of new bonus material on the bluray Scamander.

Does it include the music video for Kiss The Girl by Ashley Tisdale?

Where did I say there are 3 hours of NEW content? The new bonus material is about 50 minutes long and together with the old stuff it's over 3 hours (excluding the audio commentary), which isn't a bare bones release! You can't just ignore the old bonus features, only because Disney used to make plenty of new stuff in the past for each release. The old stuff is still there and it counts!

Hey everyone,

Since the blu ray has been made available in some parts (since you are all talking about it and its special features)... can you describe the new content? (you can skip the music videos... ugh...)

Thanks!

Yeah I have to agree. atlanticaunderthesea is the one of the most grateful members around

I think the confusion is that she thought that Scamander was saying there was 3 hours worth of NEW extras. So it was just a misunderstanding that's all nothing more

Oh, I adore Atlantica! Please, don't get me wrong. But she still said it was "vanilla" and "so empty of extras"...
