CNN is reporting that David Frost, veteran British journalist who interviewed Richard Nixon & was also a comedy writer, has died of a heart attack at age 74 on the MS Queen Elizabeth en route from England to Portugal while giving a Speech.
David Paradine Frost was born in Kent, England, UK on April 7, 1939 and began his career as a comedy satirist who made his American TV debut as host of That Was the Week That Was, a short-lived news satire for the CBS Television Network in 1964 (the same year the Beatles of Liverpool made their U.S. debut on The Ed Sullivan Show, with 73 million viewers turning them into the leaders of the 1960s British Invasion of Music).
He was married for 30 years to Carina Fitzalen, with whom he has 3 young adult sons; before that, Frost was married to Lynne Frederick for 18 months before THAT marriage ended in divorce (Frederick eventually died in 1994, aged 39, after a long battle with Alcoholism (and before marrying Frost, she was married for 3 years to Peter Sellers until he died of a Heart Attack in 1980 at age 54).
Frost also had his own talk show, an episode of which he famously interviewed then-President Richard Milhous Nixon, who stated that As Long as the President Does It, Its NOT Illegal. (Bullshit)
