Re: Frozen: Part IV
I'm in love with the spinning snowy magic at the top of Elsa's castle !
Reminds me of the spinning spell Maleficent casts into the sky to create thorns !!!
And i like the flower symbol at the top of Elsa's scepter . And i like Hans & Anna dancing at the coronation ( with a love song ??? Well, i don't think so....)

New stills from the film here. Apparently they were from the junior novel. Also some pretty major spoilers, apparently, which I will attempt to verify.
Fanbase on Tumblr and IMDB are freaking out and posting useless links.

Hope it's not the one from IMDB again because I can't actually find the text from there.

Oh YES there is A VERY MAJOR SPOILER if you look very close to every part of Anna's anatomy from head to feet on the last picture !!!! ( the one where she's in a snow storm !!!).disneyprincess11 wrote:There are no major spoilers! Hm, all I'm getting from that link is this page, though.

I am pretty sure the spoilers are legit though. It seems people have read parts of the book and the pictures I linked to earlier didn't sprout from thin air.
Not at all happy about this twist, really. Would have preferred there to be no major villain and I'm sceptical of twists in general. Oh well, I guess it comes down to execution.

Maybe I'm blind but... where are the spoilers?? I'm only reading complainings about Hans being the villain, but without any source...

The preview of the book is not available to anyone residing outside the U.S. That's why you can't view the pages.qindarka wrote:Hm, all I'm getting from that link is this page, though.
Re: Frozen: Part IV
A few notes:
The hans thing is really disappointing. He's doing it for power. It's ridiculous. Couldn't they be more creative with him? And if the last we see of him is being punched by Anna then I won't like it. I wanted him to have a big death scene. To serve some justice.
I was right about Anna and the curse. I knew that half of her hair was white in one of those first stills that we got.
So the trolls do come back.. And Anna and Kristoff? Ugh... Why not Elsa??!! and we do have one more song to add to the list now. The trolls song. I wonder whose going to voice them.
Hehe.. Olaf's ending was nice. I also don't think he's gonna be a pain and annoying.
Ok.. so the third half... IS GOING TO LOOK BREATHTAKING! especially in 3D!
Elsa freezes Anna's heat? Why don't we have all the pages!
Ok.. so if the movie ends the way the book ends.. im not gonna like it...
I want a time skip, what happens in the future.......
All in all... I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE AND I WANNA WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!!! I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!
On another, and why I actually came to this thread (Yeah, mods. I don't get emails anymore. Why?)..
Someone on tumblr added facial hair to Kristoff. It's interesting cause with facial hair he looks 10 years older.

I think it was FrozenMussings

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Could someone be kind enough to let the people outside of the US know what the spoilers were ? Many thanks
Re: Frozen: Part IV
So WOW was I wrong about Hans!! YES. This is so exciting. The handsome prince is the bad guy! I am just a bundle of happy nerves and excitement right now. Frustrating that only some of the pages appear some of the time though? At least for me.
I'm wondering if I can copy/paste blocks of spoiler text for you atlanticaunderthesea. I'll give it a try. Unless you meant just what are the spoilers about in general?

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I haven't read the pages, just the other spoilers. Does this mean that Hans and the Duke are in cahoots for power?
That... that kind of sucks. Was hoping Hans would be better than that.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
If someone could just telling, describing what they read, the rest of the story, if they know it...
A sum up of the third act with the new characters, songs, twists and events, for the spoilers addicts... Well, i know it's BAD, but just put it under an hidden banner... Thanxxx !!!!

Re: Frozen: Part IV
The junior novel is only good for the basic plot, it won't cover songs or go into much detail of the scenes.
Rough spoilers for third act:
Elsa somehow ends up freezing Anna's heart, requiring true love to cure it.
She returns to Arendelle, believing that Hans is the one to cure her......
but Hans, in his bid for power, pretends that Anna had been killed by Elsa and uses this as a justification to attack Elsa.
Kristoff returns to Anna who is still dying.
Anna saves Elsa from Hans , getting frozen by Elsa's powers in the process. However, this act of self-sacrifice constituted true love and cured her.
Happily ever after
Some of my thoughts:
After criticizing the film for a lack of female representation, I'm glad that they seem to have nailed the issue of portrayal. Anna isn't ultimately saved by the action of any man but by her own deeds and she is also the one who saves Elsa.
I am/was a bit annoyed with Hans being the villain. However, the other common prediction that there would be a double romance would have been worse. It is pretty important that Elsa not to have a romantic interest and/or to have been saved by a male. It would have detracted from the sisterly bond that is the heart of the film and also been unprogressive in terms of gender dynamics, especially when taking the source material into account.
I'm really, really glad that a woman wrote and co-directed this film, there were points which they could easily have fucked up and it's looks to have been avoided.
