A lot of people are complaining about the new album, but im perfectly fine with it.
I mean, I would have loved a deluxe edition soundtrack like Beauty and the Beast. I just really wanted newly restored songs. I don't like how the original soundtrack sounds like. The music is not clear, its muffled. As long as the original songs we get are the restored ones, I'm fine. I really like that they have the reprise of Part of your world on there. ,

It's a shame that's the release they're doing; not even the actual soundtrack is being reissued ? Disappointing. Especially as if they were going to do a crappy effort like this, they could have at least included some of the songs from the series. 'In Harmony', 'Sing A Happier Song' and 'You Got To Be You' come to mind.
I got it from a friend as a Christmas present last year. He didn't say where he got it. If you want it, I can email it to you.

Is there anything to support this sequencing from Disney? Is it deliberate to match how it was originally planned - has it always been wrong and only now corrected? Or is it a genuine mistake? Anyone that has the Diamond, does it refer to the sequence change in the commentary or any new (ahem!) material? ...

I have to admit, felt quite emotional hearing 'POYW' like that, with the original film introduction. I don't think I have ever heard it so beautifully. You hear it so often with Jodi's beautiful voice that you don't focus so much on the music itself....
