I just realized that maybe Kristoff isn't the equivalent of Kai but a gender swapped version of the robber girl.

U're kind of right. And Kay is actually Elsa. And the Lapp and Finn Women and their houses are mixed in Oaken and his Sauna. And the crow is Olaf ( a snowman is actually more wintery and fun than a crow !)

Unknowingly or not I think Disney has kept some of the essence of the Snow Queen but its a reinterpretation of everything. Especially the fact that Kay and the Snow Queen are formed to make Elsa. Not to mention the fact they still have the trolls in this story but they seem to be more benevolent than in the original tale.

Man, Disney sure is pushing the marketing of Olaf as the next "great" Disney side character. I'll remain optimistic about him because he could go either way.

I mean I know they are trying to gets kids (mainly boys) to see their fairy tale musicals, but they could at least show Anna and Elsa in the posters and stuff. In fact, we haven't heard one word of dialogue from Elsa in any of the leaked footage that has been out so far (in English btw).

And don't forget the reindeer and the roses ( thanks to the rosemaling !). We might even have a frozen heart ! As for that blasted mirror, we still dont' know .... T'was so good and clever in Tangled when they kept the iconic magic lettuce ( redesigned as a flower ;-)) and the magic tear ! :P

They'll be included in the final marketing push, maybe the last 4 or 5 weeks. Ya know, the time that actually matters.

A big motivation behind this movie was selling more princess crap. That's not to say the movie will be bad, but it's just a fact. You really think they'd hide what they hope are their next two big money makers?

All the Olaf stuff is just to get people curious about it at this stage. I think people will end up liking him from what we've heard so far, but I still really don't like his design though. They could have made a snowman that's a lot...cuter. Even if he's supposed to be an ugly reject snowman, he could have been ugly in a cuter way

Some interesting tidbits from Jennifer Lee's twitter.
Q: How do you pronounce Sven's name? Is it pronounced as Sven (with a silent S) just like Ven?

Jennifer Lee: S is not silent. So Sv-en it is.

Q: hi Jennifer! Extremely excited for Frozen, I heard the trailer is coming September 10th, could you confirm/deny this rumor?

Jennifer Lee: you did? Not even I know the exact date. We are working on it, though, pushing shots through final tech and color.

Calm down, Edthehyena. Editing animation takes times.

I noticed in the recent photo of Hans' horse Lemon, the boat is tipped over. Do you guys think Lemon tipped Hans over after his puppy love interaction with Anna? If my seculations are true,it would be a hilarious scene.

Nope! Anna waved goodbye to them and Lemon waved back as well, using the hoof Lemon was holding the boat down with, causing the boat to tip over.

It’s WAY Too Early to Predict the Oscar Animation Race!

This is way too early to decide. And good, the stupid Smurf sequel won't be nominated.

Hans was in the boat.

I honestly can't say, the clip didn't show too much of Lemon. But Anna did scratch Lemon's chin, so I assume Lemon's ok with with Anna.
