So:
- Pinocchio - missing soundbite
- Beauty and the Beast - supposedly wrong / lighter colors
- The Lion King - missing SFX (clouds)
- Cinderella - botched DNR process
- The Sword in the Stone - bad HD remastering
- The Little Mermaid - editing issues

Anything else?
BatB also had editing issues and Mermaid has other editing issues as well
Yes:

- Beauty and the Beast - Completely redrawn scenes (Cogsworth animation, why?)
- Sleeping Beauty - Messed up orchestra in "Gifts of Beauty" that does not match the pacing of the chorus anymore.

not just that for sleeping beauty. the music is also off during the dress making. the snipping scissors and the music doesn't sync anymore.

pocahontas lost its magentas in most sky shots and flit's flapping wings were added in the skirmish scene.
do you still wait for me Dream Giver?

Pocahontas is where they got to me as well, but in my case I'd rather save the money and enjoy my DVD's than be a Blu-ray completist; I've barely upgraded anything since then (and I've let Disney know it). :|

i called and complained. the more people do this the better chance we'll have at correcting it.

i even directed them to the youtube video of the error. The woman i talked too was an I talked to obviously denied it and told me they test their releases but I was like nooooope it's real lol she said they'd look into it but they may just be blowing smoke. If more people call then something may actually get done. Up to u guys now lol

Hey, remember Tarzan? People complained about the restoration problems on that one and it got recalled sooner or later.

In Spain they´ve been leaving out the original dubs (and fans favorites) and creating new and boring ones.

That´s happened with Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp.

Could someone combine the two versions side by side within a single video to give us an example to forward to Disney? I don't expect anything further than a cut & paste response from them as per usual, but would prefer to link the simplest and clearest example possible when I politely explain why I won't be buying this edition.

I haven't done any Blu-ray upgrades in ages; it seems each release I'm especially looking forward to somehow turns into a joke. This kind of takes the cake. I've lost a lot of enthusiasm for Disney and they've lost a loyal customer. :|

I'm rendering a little comparison video involving both clips as I type this and will upload it to YouTube. Then I will send it to Disney Support/Help/whatever it is ASAP.

Here you mean this?
Thanks. That saves me the trouble of uploading a comparison myself and time to send it to Disney/spread the word/my concern any way I can. That means everyone else here should do the same. Post it on Facebook, tweet it, whatever the hell you can do to bring it to Disney's undivided attention! Do what you have to do, damn it!

I think there is a fair chance they'll replace this one... The continuity is all wrong and you can see her mouthing words where there is none... They cant justify this slip up with any reasoning...

They'll pretty much HAVE to! I'm pretty sure I'm putting myself on the verge of a panic attack because of this apparent screw-up! :(

To anyone who says nobody will notice, tell that to every ducking person who spent a majority of their lives watching the movie on VHS or DVD! I'm sure they WILL notice.

You need to keep in mind that not all people know the movie embedded into their head as you and I are.

I would bet if I showed this to my 9 year old cousin (who turns 10 on Christmas. I wonder what I'll get her  ) wouldn't say hey, there's a problem with that scene and it's a big error. You and I and many others know Disney screwed up, but to 10 year old, and even adults that casually remember the movie won't notice it unless they are obsessed with everything Disney like You and I and others here are.

Perhaps we should share the error YouTube video on The Little Mermaid's Blu Ray Facebook page. Then again Disney might take it down...who knows. I think if there is a recall it won't happen until after it's released when enough people see what the heck is wrong. Also the average people will read about it online and might ask for a replacement. Again this will sell through the roof either way, and people who haven't seen the film in years and are not obsessed with Disney like all of us are, might not notice it

EDIT

How is it even possible for Disney to be so incompetent? They who have so much money, human resources and technology? I just don't get it. And all of their tampering with the classics, to "fix" (read: mess up) errors or "enhance" or whatever they think they are doing - what is the point of ruining the movies like that? They only annoy us fans, nobody wants them to edit the movies to begin with.
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

To put it bluntly, the phrase "Don't fix what isn't broken" doesn't exist in their vocabulary.

On the other hand, the phrase "If it's not Baroque, don't fix it," does exist in their vocabulary.

Or at least, that's what Cogsworth always says...
