That's an old promo render released at the beginning of the summer, so people may have noticed it and forgotten about it.

That shows that Disney doesn´t even pay attention or care about advertising their things.
There´s no way you would promote a movie with a flawed or early design.

The flyer is at least 3 months old, so it makes perfect sense that they used the old design here. Many of the dates have changed since then also. All three Muppets movies will be released on November 28 and like in the US 'The Great Muppet Caper' and 'Muppet Treasure Island' will be bundled together. Robin Hood was moved forward to September 5, while Oliver & Company was pushed back to 2014.DC Fan wrote:That shows that Disney doesn´t even pay attention or care about advertising their things.

Re: The Jungle Book Blu-ray (UK release)
After the paint job that is the SitS (my opinion based on my viewings and my own comparisons!) I decided to compare the original release of TJB with the Blu-ray. I viewed the Blu on my TV and, at the same time, the DVD on my laptop.
I watched the first 10-15mins approx. I was pleasantly surprised - there's so much more background detail and all the sketchy line art is there but it was clear that Disney have 're-painted/coloured' the animated characters - the colours are very smooth and consistent - this is not always the case in the original DVD presentation - but it is done sensitively, I believe.
One thing I did notice that may bother purists (and in fairness, bothered me a little) is that sometimes, when Bagheera speaks, on the original DVD the inside of his mouth is shaded with sketchy ink lines - these are gone in the Blu presentation, at least in the section that I compared. A small thing, but interesting.
Still, a great presentation!

Was just making a search and found this...
While in Spain we got the VHS Aladdin cover for the BR release... look at the cover for the France edition of Aladdin; not to mention the label Great Classic:

That cover isn't bad at all ! Mind you France do get great covers normally...
Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2013
Yes.
The Genie is obviously reused from the Platinum cover and seems a little bit odd...(still makes more sense than him showing up from behind the logo) but other than that is a very nice cover and they did bother to make a new one!

Haha yes, that is the key point here... they bothered to make a new one.
Even if it isn't that spectacular, we are still happy !

And they will be using that horrible cover...
I´d take it if they just leave the big Hercules. He´s the protagonist and by making him use the entire cover works.
But, by including the rest of the characters in smaller versions PLUS another Hercules just ruins the cover.

I know! It's so annoying as Hercules has had quite a few covers over the years, and they pick the one that is far and away the worst ever featured.
Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2013
Isn't this on the Secret OF The Wings Blu-ray as a bonus feature? No reason to get this again right?

But it's not on DVD. That's the point of the release.

Actually the DVD has it on the bonus features as wellMickeyfan1990 wrote:But it's not on DVD. That's the point of the release.

So the point of the release is for Disney to cash in.

Yes. But on the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack version of the DVD only:Matt wrote:Actually the DVD has it on the bonus features as wellMickeyfan1990 wrote:But it's not on DVD. That's the point of the release.

"On the upside, the original information also indicated that Pixie Hollow Games would be a Blu-ray exclusive, which it thankfully is not. Lamely, though, the special is seemingly left off the single-disc DVD, meaning Disney authored a diluted featherweight DVD just to add value to the combo packs."

From the Blu-ray.com review of "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh":
... Well, screw you too, Disney. (flips table for ditching itunes lately.)Please note: the Many Adventures DCP digital copy is not iTunes compatible.
This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?
