Huh? Which '97 release had that?atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Yes indeed they have; with the 1997 rerelease, Peter Andre was tacked over the end credits singing 'Kiss The Girl'. Horribly.
It was then removed on the 2006 Platinum Edition.

Oh ok. I don't remember ever seeing that over the end credits here in the U.S. They just had the Jodi Benson video of PoYW on the VHS the following year, but the cinema rerelease had Under the Sea & Part of Your World from the movie soundtrack playing (which was slightly different from the original which was Under the Sea and Main Titles).atlanticaunderthesea wrote:It was released back in cinemas for a few weeks ? Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Well that is a whole bunch nicer than what we got - Andre is truly beyond awful.
I would love to have the track 'The Little Mermaid) Main Titles' that is used in the final part of the credits on the DVD release with the nice ending. Do you guys know what I mean ? It is the same version featured in the beginning, but it has a more definite ending.

Are you sure the Peter Andre song was used during the end credits of the PE as well? I clearly remember it being Under the Sea/Main Titles just like the 1990 VHS.
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
If you read my post, I stated it was thankfully removed from the 2006 DVD.

Wow, never did I think I'd be preferring The Jonas Brothers' Poor Unfortunate Souls over another remade Little Mermaid Song

To some degree, no. Because whether or not it's opinion, it's still talking smack.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Well....it is fair, as that's my opinion ?DisneyJedi wrote:That's not fair. I actually LIKE that cover!

I'm sorry, what ? Talking smack ? I don't like it, you do. Hardly 'talking smack', whatever that means.

Not the one DisneyJedi was aiming for, but the one that always comes to my mind.

Besides, at least Peter can sing. And by the way, his version close to being as good as the original because it almost matches the song's slow and steady pace in the film version.

*Finally listens to Carly Rae Jespen's song via Amazon mp3 sample*
This being a Disney forum site, it's the best family-friendly image I can find. Anyway,
GET THAT SHIT OFF THE BLU-RAY! OH GOD, WHY DISNEY?!
Oh, and that Peter Andre posted earlier? Not so bad compared to this new remix! My ears!

This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Since Disney is unable to give us a true Making Of this movie, ¿does it exist (part of the Laserdisc or something)? ¿Can it be found?
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
It is perfectly fair to disagree with you. It should have no effect on your opinion.DisneyJedi wrote:I meant badmouthing.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I listened to the mp3 preview. My only beef is that while I congratulate Disney using the original conduction of the song (for once), Carly obviously doesn't have the right chords to sing this song in the original melody. Too modern pop-ish if you ask me. It's like getting Taylor Swift to play Eponine in Les Miserables, which they legitimately almost did for the musical film that came out last year before settling on Samantha Brks for the role.
