I really like the idea of a Villians countdown. That'd be a lot of fun.

Villians, to stretch out to Halloween. And then after that Heros/Heroines as a sort of counterpoint countdown.

My vote went to heros and heroines, but the other categories are cool as well :)

I voted for Villains, but I would love a "Hero/Heroines" countdown afterwords.

Disney Villains
That was my idea since the beginning when I join this forum.
But you could still use it Luke.

It seems to be the overwhelming favourite, but I also went with Disney Villains. FAR more fun than heroes...

What about Ultimate Disney's Direct to DVD Countdown?

Or go to the other end? Worst Disney? The "Worst" lists are bound to raise far more discussion than a "best" list.

I think that would be too far anti-Disney for this site! But you've got an interesting point!

Survey topic for sometime...

At some time, I'd like to see a vote survey of Disney's animated tv shows.

Later,

A Disney Villains countdown is going to be awesome. In my opinion, the best villain ever is Scar, with Jafar, Ursula, Frollo, Maleficent and the Queen closely behind him. Hades is also terrific too.

Villains--far too easy. Requires little thought. How's this:

Best disney animated SEQUENCE. Such as the Three Caballeros sequence from, well, that movie. Or the Bear/Copper at the waterfall sequence from Fox and the Hound. Or Night on Bald Mountain sequence from Fantasia.

Elements to consider:
Quality of animation
Quality of animated effects
Quality of background and secondary animation
General staging
Effectiveness of action (gesture, etc.)
Effectiveness of story told in sequence
Effectiveness of music (if music is used)
Effectiveness of emotion evoked in sequence (humor, tension, longing, etc.)

I think this would be a GREAT topic, which would require thought and reflection. Also the criteria would allow people to articulate their reasons for supporting a particular scene.

So what does everyone think?

Villians, got to be villians!

You could do one with the best villians' henchman too, Iago/Flotsam and Jestsam/The Huntsman and so on. :D 8)

Countdown

Post by Disney Guru »

Villians or Heroes and Heroines both sound really good to me. I can't wait. For the Countdown To Start. And this time can we not just do the Animated Villains and do the Live Action Villians To. And lets add some of the Classic Disney Live Action Villians. Like. Dr. Gannon, Silky Seymour, Peter Thorndyke, Alonzo Hawk, and all the rest. Here on UltimateDisney.com. This makes me think of the theme song ot Gilligan's Island

That is actually a very very good idea.

The opening to TLK would win.
