Now onto the clips they showed. They showed four. At least one of these (the third one), wasn’t completely animated yet, still some effects to add and whatnot…
1) The first clip was shown at the beginning. It’s Kristoff and Sven in a cabin. Kristoff is singing and playing some string instrument (like a guitar, but I’m pretty sure it’s not). He’s singing about how he doesn’t like other people, he likes reindeer like Sven. He sings some parts as Sven. They are about to go to sleep, when Anna bursts in and says “nice duet.”
2) The next clip introduces Hans. He’s a prince from a neighboring kingdom. It’s when he meets Anna. The scene opens with Anna standing on a pier/deck, when someone behind her startles her. She falls back into a boat that’s at the edge of the pier. The boat is about to fall into the water, but a horse stomps on the other end, anchoring it to the pier. Hans reaches out a hand to help Anna. She’s immediately infatuated with him and vise-versa. (I’m attracted to Hans too personally, haha.) They introduce themselves to each other. And when Anna says she’s the princess, he kneels before her. Pardon me because I can’t remember the dialogue much at all. But Hans is shown to be very much a gentlemen. There was an awkward silence and staring between the two when suddenly bells ring and Anna says it’s time for the coronation and she has to go. Hans falls back into the boat somehow, his horse removed his leg, so Hans and the boat fall into the water.
3) The third scene was the coronation. (I believe this was Elsa’s coronation, now making her queen.) Before this, they said that Anna and Hans had spent the evening together (a date, I guess basically, but they didn’t use that word). Anna wants to marry him immediately after. However, Elsa does not approve and thinks this is very childish and impulsive of Anna, agreeing to marry a man she just met. Cue the scene. The sisters are arguing. Once again, sorry, I fail at remembering dialogue. But Elsa says something along the lines of “you asked for my blessing, but I don’t give it” and starts to walk off. Anna tries to stop her and takes off her glove in the process. She’s asking Elsa why she is so cold and distant. Why has she drifted away from her. Elsa is becoming upset (since she does love her sister and only distances and detaches herself to protect Anna). You can see that Elsa is starting to lose her composure. She yells something like “leave me alone,” sweeping her hand and causing a wall of ice to form between her and Anna. Everyone in the ballroom stops to watch the scene unfold. Elsa is terrified she just used her powers. Anna and everyone else is confused and shocked. A man (a guard maybe) (The Duke, I think) accuses Elsa of sorcery/witchcraft and orders that she be stopped. Elsa runs out of the room. Anna runs after her and Hans runs after Anna.
Elsa flees outside and immediately runs into some townspeople. They are all talking to her. She is trying to avoid them and run through the crowd. A woman with a baby stops and notices Elsa is very upset and asks “is something wrong, Queen Elsa?” The guards/The Duke catches up and yells for people to stop Elsa. Overwhelmed, Elsa backs up and clutches to a fountain. She uses her powers again, freezing the water. The townspeople back away, including the woman with the baby, and other parents clutching their children and moving away from Elsa. Anna catches up and yells for Elsa to stop. Elsa once again uses her powers and blasts ice at the doorway, slowing Ana and the guards down. Elsa continues running and leaves the castle. She comes to the water outside and realizes she has no where else to run. She steps back and sees that her feet are freezing the water below her. So she takes off running across the water on the ice formed by her feet, and escapes into the woods. Anna and Kristoff stop at the water and look on. Anna says she has to find her sister.
4) The last clip introduces Olaf. Anna, Kristoff, and Sven are walking through the snowy forest. Some water droplets have frozen on vines hanging from a tree. Sven’s antlers get stuck in the vines and he happily plays with them. Anna and Kirstoff are walking when they hear a voice. They can’t see where it’s coming from, but enter Olaf, walking behind and in between them. When they noticed him, they both freak out. Anna especially, as she kicks Olaf causing him to lose his head. A chaotic scene occurs with Kristoff and Anna juggling Olaf’s head around, until it finally finds its place back on his body. Anna gets a good look at Olaf and suddenly softens, asking him if Elsa created him.* Olaf says that he was made by Elsa. Anna asks if he knows where she is and if he could take them to her. He says yes and asks why they want Elsa. Anna says that they want to make this winter end. Olaf expresses excitement, wondering what it would be like to be a snowman in the summer. He sings a hilarious song about it, believing he will just be sunbathing and swimming and picnicking, not realizing that he will melt. (He almost comes to the conclusion though, having a word in the song rhyme with “puddle,” coming across a puddle, pausing, but then happily jumping over it and replacing the line with another lyric.) After he finishes, Kristoff is like “we gotta tell him (that he’ll melt)” but Anna’s like “no don’t be mean.” And Olaf leads them off to find Elsa.
*The reason Anna knew Elsa created Olaf, is because when they were children, they built a little snowman named Olaf. So Olaf will play a part in being that kind of happy memory for Anna, as well as a symbol that Elsa still cherishes the times when her and Anna were children.
