Where does the duke come in?

Ok.. So this is kinda interesting.. I thought of this a few hours ago..

What if..

The first half of the movie exists and Elsa runs away and Anna goes off to find her. The first third is the introduction of all the characters and then the second half is Anna and Kristoff finding their way to Elsa. But Elsa attempts to attack Anna and Kristoff but then Hans appears and tells them that the village needs Elsa. That they have now accepted her and believe that she is truly kind. Anna begs Elsa to go back and Elsa agrees.
Once they get back, they are surprised to find that the village is truly calm about Elsa. Hans nonetheless orders the guards to capture and lock Kristoff and Olaf in the dungeons. Anna and Elsa have a very heart to heart conversation, Elsa is frightened and doesn't have confidence in herself, but Anna assures her that she will be there for her. Anna tells Elsa that she will be waiting for her downstairs and then sees light coming out of a room that no one should be in and eaves drops on Hans in a room with the Duke making plans about capturing Elsa and demonstrating to the town that she is a monster so that Hans can become the ruler of the village/Kingdom. The guards see Anna and then capture her and throw her in the dungeon with Kristoff. Then Hans comes down and explains to her why he is doing it, he tells that power means nothing because you eventually get bored when you have it all, so he is doing it out of fun and he is enjoying it. He laughs and exits.

Continued.

Anna feels bad and is freaking out then she looks at the corner and Olaf is sitting there playing around. He forgot that his body can separate. So they knock out one of the guards and then escape.

Sven who has been captured by the guards is trying to escape. Then he sees something big coming towards him.

Elsa is now in front of the main gate, but she won't leave without Anna by her side. But hans tells her that if she backs away like a coward now, it'll make her situation worse with the people. And assures her that Anna will be there. As they open the gate, Anna and Kristoff arrive abruptly and tell Elsa to stop. But they are too late, as soon as that gate opened. They capture Elsa with chains and guards seizes Anna and Kristoff. Elsa is tied in the middle of the village on a fountain. Then Sven arrives and attacks the guards and rescues Anna and Kristoff. Marshmallow helps Elsa and carries her to her castle in the snow. Anna and Kristoff go there and Hans is following them.

A big clash happens, Anna gets badly injured because Elsa was at her power limit and her attack deflected from Hans to Anna. Anna is now completely frozen. Elsa losses all of her powers and her castle breaks apart and crushes Hans. Elsa rushes to Anna's side, and then finds out that her powers are now melting Anna's cold body.

And they live happily ever after.
Guys, keep in mind, that this is all made up by me, it's not official from Disney!

Ok, it's 5 AM, time to get back to trying to sleep.

taei-I can actually picture this :o It'd be too suspiciously early for Elsa and Anna returning, but that would make sense for the potential plot twist.

Hans still could be the villain, despite the spoiler. At the Disney Wiki, on the Elsa's Castle page, it did say that the true villain intrudes the castle to defeat the Snow Queen and break the mirror. I thought it was fake (it's gone now), but with Hans, the long-speculated villain, suddenly being in the castle, I am wondering if the fake info was actually true.

The info on the Wiki is false.

The problem with Hans being the villain now is that Hans actually comes closer to the castle than Anna and tries to prove Elsa's innoecence. Why would he bother doing that when Anna is already doing the same thing? Why does he feel obligated to do that?If he just wanted the throne,he would have just killed Anna and Elsa off right away

Another strange thing about the French spoilers is the cornation scene.Anna asks for Elsa's blessing on the marriage, but there is no way Hans would be next to Anna at the same time.According to the French trailer,Hans is in a different room. When Elsa's powers are revealed, both Hans and Anna run after Elsa. Why does Hans do that?"

I hold the theory contrary to the majority. I believe Hans and Elsa must have known each other before. They could have been lovers or friends. What separated them was the very first discovery of Elsa's power. He becomes a pawn of the Duke of Weselton's conspiracy because he holds this information. The interesting part of this theory is that it portrays the weakness of both Hans and Elsa.Instead of confronting Anna, they shelter her from the truth. Yet Kristoff will contradict this quality because he is a down to earth guy.

This is not as cheesy as you think. There is a great possibility that Elsa has some issues with Han,but it's not stupid like j the random love triangle in Oz:tGaP.

Just heard part of let it go. I honestly prefer Chelsea's rendition over the real thing. Had a feeling this would happen.

Not crazy about “Let It Go,” mostly the lyrics and the melody’s kind of just there. I expected it to start out mellow and become more euphoric/empowering, in a way like “Part of That World” minus the sad ending lines. Honestly, it comes across to me like a mix of “Almost There” and “Defying Gravity.”. Although not as good as either of those to me. I imagine just the music without the lyrics would be better, actually, which is a shame.). Of course, it could still be that way in the film--from MiceChat, I’m getting the image of the last bit of the song being that way, with a sequence of her creating a palace around herself (which could be an amazing scene if done right).

Overall, I believe Elsa will be my favorite character in the film easily, unless they really screw up somehow. I like how they have her powers mixed with her emotions, actually. It sounds empowering, if you look at this from a feminist standpoint--which is doubtless going to happen with a new DP movie. In the end, everyone will see female power/emotions aren’t monstrous/evil/cold.

Anyway, the Elsa/Anna dynamic sounds very similar to Elinor/Merida to me so far, as far as Anna doing something cruel because her sister doesn‘t understand her (pulling off the glove), causes something horrible to happen (Elsa runs away), and then has to repair the relationship.
.

At this point, not sure how I feel about Olaf. Still don't like the concept, but the details (his dream of summer, being something special between Anna/Elsa when they were children) make him slightly more interesting. I also realized that I totally had the guys from The Book of Mormon mixed up, and was thinking of the wrong one as Josh Gad for so long.

People shouldn't judge Let It Go based on that clip. The quality isn't great, but what they showed barely got through the first verse. People do realize that wasn't the full performance right?

The song will definitely build to an epic climax. Elsa hasn't truly "let it go" by the point in the song the clip stopped on. And with full orchestration it will sound much MUCH better.

I think there's enough there to judge the lyrics and melody. I personally don't think it'll be as much better as you might hope, but I'm sure it'll improve.

I'm still curious why the soundtrack has 2 discs.

I'm wondering if it'll be a "best of" or a preview disc of other Disney material like they used to give out as a promo in the nineties. Or maybe it's some kind of DVD? Doubtful, but some modern CD sets do carry bonus DVD's. I'd personally love to see a disc of early demo songs and deleted music, but I'm not exactly getting my hopes up.

Is it possible they're releasing the FULL soundtrack? As in, the version that the cast and crew usually receive?

They usually do that when the Oscars arrives, give a copy of the full cast and crew, happened to Tangled, WIR, Brave...so, why not Frozen? In this case, we don't have to wait to the Oscars...I hope.

Apparently, Frozen merchandise (with the exception of the Anna and Elsa costumes) will be available in stores September 16. Anyone to confirm this?
