Yes, but that's to be expected when the whole film is doing it's best to copy it in every way possible, with SQ as its source instead of Rapunzel. I wonder if Elsa will get her powers from the Moon or something, since Rapunzel got hers from the Sun.
Rapunzel, through genetic inheritance, got her powers from a magical flower that her mother taken when she got sick. the flower was a product of a small sunlight. she didn't literally get's powers from the sun like fucking superman does.

Go curse out DisneyJedi or TsWade. Maybe they’ll react the way you want.

@phan258: That is an interesting connection that could exist between Hans and the Duke, good catch. I'm still kind of torn whether Hans is a villain, manipulated by the Duke, or if he's just the endgame love interest for Anna like I thought several pages back. If the Duke is the villain, I hope he turns out to be more than he seems so we can have some kind of magical climax with; I miss the more thrilling endings to Disney movies.

@jazzflower92: Yeah, this is one of the first times trolls have been linked to something positive... Well, there was A Troll in Central Park.

I just realized something ironic about the story from the recent images. Long and spoilery paragraph ahead.

So Anna once knew Elsa had ice magic. Then when Elsa accidentally hurt Anna, the parents went to the trolls to have Anna's knowledge of Elsa's magic removed. From then on, Elsa stayed away from Anna because she feared another accident. Anna, no longer aware of Elsa's magic, grew sad and lonely, wondering why her sister stayed away. Cut to years later, where Anna meets Hans. She is attracted to him instantaneously; why else would she agree to marry him so quickly? Elsa obviously doesn't want her only sister to marry a man she just met and go live in his castle. Anna, on the other hand, feels that Hans cares for her. His intentions are dubious, but Anna doesn't see this. All she wants is Elsa to be her sister again, but because Elsa is wary of her ice magic and remains distant, Anna tries to fill her emptiness elsewhere.

In other words, Elsa may have indirectly caused Anna to fall for the villain.

The Duke wants to exploit Arendelle’s tradable goods; not control its trade routes! :P
taei wrote:Do you think that they'll actually explain where Elsa got her powers?
I would like them to but somehow I doubt it.
FinerFrenzy wrote:So is it possible that the icy bolt from Elsa in childhood to Anna is what caused her streak of near white hair?
Yes, that seems to be the reason. If you notice in this storybook page, it was only after Anna was hit with the ice bolt that she got her white hair stipe.

Can't tell for sure. The white streak is on the right side of her head which isn't visible in the first drawing.

@sotiris Welp close enough, unless the Duke wants to keep everything to himself which is what, fish and ice cubes? Makes me wonder if Arendelle has some other secret "goods" he's after.

@DD Yes, Hans is the character I'm most interested in right now. I think it would be cool if he turned out to be a bad guy, although I think even if he does he'll redeem himself somehow. He's just designed to cute to be truly villainous. And no bad guy gets a horse that pretty lol. It would also be cool if the Duke had a magical element to him: I know someone previously said his pointy ears might be a clue but honestly they just looked stylized to me, stoat-like. I wonder if Elsa's powers are genetic or possible to obtain in some other way? Wanting his own superpowers makes a lot more sense.

The Duke Of Weselton

Maybe the Duke of Weselton is part of...the Illuminati

Just kidding, just kidding. To be honest, he might not be a lame villain after all. I'm going to avoid any more spoilers about him

Hans

rotfl
So we have known about Hans courting Anna, but we did not know the lines

Can I marry you?

and

You can't marry a man you have just met.You just can't!

These simple lines speak ALOT about the characters...and tumblr is spewing some convincing theories

Olaf

I am starting to like him. :)

The leaked pages

This is too much for me!!!I need to avoid the spoiler's

Why would I do that to them? Why are you bringing them up to begin with? What gave you the impression I'm trying to get an reaction out of you?

All I did was gave little correction on Rapunzel. Over sensitive much?

D23 is from August 9-11 if I'm not mistaken. Should be an explosion of info around then and according to Bleeding Cool anyway, there should be some sort of embargo lifting around that period as well.

Presumably.

Because the website Bleeding Cool posted the storybook images I had on my Tumblr and credited me as the source, I received a copyright infringement notification from Tumblr and had my posts removed.

I am shocked and frustrated that Disney would stoop so low as to claim copyright infringement on a few sample images of a storybook which were released by their affiliates. Obviously, I didn't produce those images out of thin air, I found them on an online bookstore (which undoubtedly were provided to them by Disney in the first place).

Their growing paranoia about leaks is out of control and to be frank I'm beginning to grow resentful towards Disney and their moronic policies.

My thoughts exactly. Really, the only news I care about regarding Frozen is a new trailer and the soundtrack album. I want to see what Lee and Buck have created without speculating the hell out of the story.

Exactly ! Thank you for echoing my thoughts estefan.

And sorry to hear that Sotiris, Disney should be bigger than that, and not have made an infringement complaint.

It's just so stupid. Disney hasn't removed those images from websites like The Rotoscopers or Bleeding Cool, not to mention all of the blogs that have re-posted the pictures; they've only targeted me.
