Ok, according to that article Anna and Hans are definitely attracted to each other.
So Elsa ditches Arendelle. Then Anna decides to find Elsa. She meets Kristoff, and they fall in love.
What the hell does Hans do after that?In fact, what does Hans do when Anna is gone?Sit on the couch and eat cheetoes while the Duke takes over?

We shall see. If he does nothing, he won't be here. I guess he tries to protect the kingdom. Oh, BTW:Candy-Bonita95 wrote:What the hell does Hans do after that?In fact, what does Hans do when Anna is gone?Sit on the couch and eat cheetoes while the Duke takes over?
That didn't take long at all! But, WHY is Olaf the star?!We’re proud to share that Disney has announced that the impressive show of water and color will be getting a whole new look this Christmas! The whole show is changing folks. Being called “World of Color – Winter Dreams“, the new show will feature brand new animation from new films like Disney’s “Frozen” as well as your favorite Disney classics in their winter spirit. There will also be brand new effects and new music.

It's possible that Hans is attracted to Anna because she's pretty, not because of her personality. In other words, it's infatuation as opposed to love.Candy-Bonita95 wrote:Ok, according to that article Anna and Hans are definitely attracted to each other.

That makes sense, but Elsa is hotter. It could be that Hans thinks Anna is cute, but Elsa is damn smoking out of his league. It's possible that Hans is attracted to Anna because she's pretty, not because of her personality. In other words, it's infatuation as opposed to love.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I had kinda pegged Hans as more genuine than that, y'know? Like my personal theory is (LONG POST AHEAD WHOA)
that he's one of the Duke of Weselton's sons--assuming that's who he's pictured with in that Yahoo character still. They both had noticeable sideburns, like Hans, and a close haircolor. Also he's described as the youngest in a large family (12 brothers) who feels "practically invisible." I think this ties in with that "Hans is the villain" vibe folks have (I don't but it would be a cool twist).
Like we know the Duke wants control of the kingdom in some fashion. He's at Elsa's coronation, and Hans is there too. He and Anna meet and there's a connection (and it's based on mutual feelings of loneliness, not good looks). Then Elsa's powers are exposed, probably in a bad way, and the Duke turns on her and tells the populace she's a danger to all. Elsa runs away, maybe Anna stays behind for a while trying to keep a lid on the power vacuum, maybe she leaves immediately, but the Duke is actively trying to take over. Maybe he sees that Hans has feelings for Anna and attempts to exploit them with emotional manipulation, like I'll give you all the affection and attention you'
ve been missing if you help me get to the princess. But personally I can't see anything but Anna/Kristoff being endgame, and maybe I'm way off base and Hans isn't related to the Duke lol...but I strongly believe he is.
Ps I think both girls are equally gorgeous

At first glance it looked like Scratt from Ice AgeSotiris wrote:It looks like this will be the international poster (except for France and Japan of course who get special treatment). Disney Netherlands also released the poster for Frozen and it's the same one.

But it's Olaf.
This poster says nothing about the movie. Really makes you wonder what the hell is going on inside Disney's walls. "Guys, we're going to make a musical fairytale, but we're all gonna pretend it's an Ice Age rip-off!" Followed by massive *applause* ...
Whatever, I'll take it. Amuse me further Disney. This is outright insanity.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
agreed, Patrick. The poster makes it look like it's about a snowman, who tries to survive global warming.
Boy, people will be surprised when they first see little Kristoff, Elsa, and Anna instead of a cutesy snowman.

For God's sake! It's a teaser poster along the lines of the teaser trailer! Remember, only France and Japan saw the trailer with footage from the film. It's their marketing strategy. It has worked before and I'm sure it will work again. They know what they're doing.

So people will walk into the theatre thinking that they will see a snowman, but instead, they see the traumatic experience little Elsa goes through.
That is like advertizing The Lion King with Timone and Pumba. Then all the children see the tragic Mufasa death.
Good job,Disney!

Re: Frozen: Part IV
That's ridiculous. As Old Fish Tale said, this is just one phase of the marketing. THIS IS NOT THE FINAL POSTER! There will be other items that reflect other aspects of the movie. Anyone who thinks what we have so far is all we are gonna get in marketing, needs to seriously get a grip.Candy-Bonita95 wrote:So people will walk into the theatre thinking that they will see a snowman, but instead, they see the traumatic experience little Elsa goes through.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
What I said was an exaggeration. But it is a possibilty that people will be mislead. I'm not saying that this marketing strategy won't work. What I'm saying is that people WILL be surprised. This has happened before Tangled with HoND and Aladdin. In fact,it happens with all franchises.
Btw.People are allowed to have an opinion on this market strategy. They don't need to get a grip because there is nothing to grip.Yeah, maybe there will be another poster, but that has nothing to do with people's opinion on the current poster.
So yeah....don't take this the wrong way....*moves back slowly*

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I guess I'm just not buying the "it's bad because it's confusing" thing. Like what is confusing about a poster with a character from the movie? He's literally a main character, like it or not (and I'm just waiting for Olaf to pull a Ray the firefly and become a beloved fan favorite).
I think hardcore fans underestimate the intelligence of most people. It's this creeping notion of smart, in the know animation buffs vs the unwashed masses who just throw money at anything. Getting upset over an early promotional poster will not affect anything other than causing yourself pointless angst.
I wish I could say I'll just stop by this thread when it looks like there's actual news to be had, but I can't help myself haha. Starting to have war flashbacks to life pre-Tangled...

Re: Frozen: Part IV
I remember people saying how Tangled was being advertised as a Shrek rip off. Now Frozen is going the Ice Age ripoff route. When something works for Disney they take it and run with it. Tangled was a huge hit and look how it was marketed. I myself remember cringing at some of the trailers. But it turned out better than a lot of people thought and was very successful. Hopefully Frozen follows in it's footsteps(and I'm thinking it will).

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Being disappointed with advertising material artwork is fine, but claiming that movie goers are going to be blind sided and surprised because a TEASER poster is displaying only one of the many characters/aspects of the movie four months out is insane.
Some of you are acting like Olaf isn't even going to be in the movie and that all advertising featuring him is a big misleading conspiracy
I think the ones who are going to be surprised are the fangulls who have convinced themselves that this is going to be some unusually sophisticated romantic drama sans any slapstick comedy at all.

Marketing can be very misleading. Sometimes it makes a film look better, sometimes it makes a film look worse...

No, they are not. Opinions are for "haters". Criticizing any aspect of this film or any Disney product is strictly forbidden by the Disney fandom. You need to worship everything that comes out of Disney, otherwise you're not a "true fan".Candy-Bonita95 wrote:People are allowed to have an opinion on this market strategy.

Then why do undeniably bad films become box office hits so often?phan258 wrote:It's this creeping notion of smart, in the know animation buffs vs the unwashed masses who just throw money at anything.
I don't think anyone's really upset over this. They're just discussing it.phan258 wrote:Getting upset over an early promotional poster will not affect anything other than causing yourself pointless angst.
