I seriously need to watch a couple episodes of this. Is it on DVD yet or Netflix?

Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show

I'm surprised the last post for the Gravity Falls topic on here is all the way back in mid-March. Wackiness sure happened since then. Carpet static caused bodies to switch, Mabel went "boy cray cray", Grunkle Stan punched a pterodactyl, and Disney characters were toying with black magic.
Disney, unbelievably, has not put out any official merchandise for Gravity Falls yet outside of a t-shirt competition from WeLoveFine. Not even any plans to release the show on DVD or even Blu-Ray given the almost feature-quality art direction.
The show is nearing the end of its first season. It airs at the start of August but chances are, like the last few episodes, it'll be leaked online a week or so early. All these delays and gaps between episodes and air-dates and Disney still can't keep airing the episodes under control. But on the plus side, story artists and people involved with the show have said that much of the delays have been from refining the episodes.

Matt Chapman, one of the Brother Chaps who are now working on the show, posted a semi-official link of the Gravity Falls panel from Comic Con over the weekend. It also includes the cold open for the season finale and a clip of Wander Over Yonder. A Q&A was held too, including questions concerning merchandise and the suggestion of a theatrical movie (as did estefan in another topic).

No blu ray? standard def doesnt do the show justice.
Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show
I don't like buying volumes or assorted releases of shows, but I'd make an exception for that journal.

Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show
It seems it will be released on October 15th, with some extra swag items
EDIT
I'm right now watching the first minutes of episode one and I'm loving it. I haven't laughed at a new cartoon series like this in many years

Finally caught up and watched the finale. Man, whoever handles the color palette of this series needs a raise. I haven't seen a show with color direction that good in ages.
And of course the rest is well done too. Really looking forward to next season.

Still trying to get into this show.
I saw two last weekend; one where they come across a tomb of a forgotten President, and another where an experimental carpet swaps bodies. Both were very cleverly written, and utilizes the summer camp premise really well.

"OH COME ON, REALLY?!?!"
Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show
You should really try to watch these in order. Unlike most cartoons they dont reset after every episode. Its part of why it has the following it does.

Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show
Thanks I'll do that. I have to admit, I was kinda gearing to not watch this since it looks like Adventure Time and every other show, but I actually laughed at it and I laughed hard. This show has some great humor in it.Kyle wrote:You should really try to watch these in order. Unlike most cartoons they dont reset after every episode. Its part of why it has the following it does.

Re: Gravity Falls A Must See TV Show
Guys, what is the US Disney Channel like? I get Disney Channel UK, and throughout the late morning, afternoon and primetime they seem to focus mostly on the teen sitcoms which I'm not interested in. They show cartoons (mainly Phineas and Ferb) at some rather inconvenient times, like 1:00 am.
I have never come across Gravity Falls on Disney Channel UK. Do they even show it?
Has Gravity Falls caught on like Phineas and Ferb? Or do you guys think it will be short-lived?
