Hi, got a question... according to this page on dvd comparisons:
http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=861
it says that the UK version is anamorphic. Would just like a confirmation from UK folks here... is it really in anamorphic? Coz I'm going to get myself a copy of this, and if it really is in anamorphic, i'll get the R2 version... thanks.
R2 Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
no one knows? The reason why i asked this is coz of this review:
http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Re ... viewID=118
which states that the R4 version is NOT anamorphic. Contents look very similar to the R2 version and I'm inclined to believe that the R2 version is also not anamorphic... in which case I'm better off getting the R1 version for the extras...

The dumb thing about this was that it was animated for 1.33:1 and the DVD simply mattes the top and bottom. This clearly wasn't an intention of the animators, either, because important things occassionally get cut off at the top and bottom of the frame.
But I have no idea if it's anamorphic, and I'd tend to agree with Joe's reasoning. The DVDCompare write-up seems a bit slight on details.
