Awesome news! Now hopefully the artwork is great. I'm glad Disney hasn't given up on metal packaging yet. Even though it's going through the UK, I'll take what I can get.

Aladdin will be available on May 8 in Spain.

Here you can see the box art; the same VHS cover.

But good news! Seems it ports all the extras of the Platinum Ed.

I actually love that cover, even though is recycled.

I prefer this cover than the Platinum Ed. or Musical Ed. covers.

Agreed. Don't fix something that isn't broken, I say.

The Little Mermaid will be released on 09/05 in Germany. For the first time since 1998, Disney will not only include the 1998 German re-dub, but also the first German dub. I'm curious now, what they will do with the 1998 Austrian dub. If they include this as well, we will have three German dubs to choose from, lol.

So, they re-dubbed this in Greece as well? :/
Well, maybe they'll include also the first Greek dub on your Blu-ray. :)

I had never thought Disney would do this in Germany, because we were fighting really hard for this to happen before the release of the Platinum Edition, but I guess Disneys presence on facebook as well as the really low rating of the Platinum Edition on amazon helped this time. Since all those decisions will be made in Burbank, I would just bug your local distribution with it (so that they can give feedback to Disney Burbank). Maybe it will work out for you, too. :)

In Germany they've also shared a preview cover art, though it says "not final":

As the German Customers usually get the same cover art as in the U.S., I thought you might be interested as well :-)

And there's just enough empty space on the left for a vertical title...

Oh my gosh .... I have to say I am really pleasantly surprised by this! They need to redo her face from what I can see, but it is looking pretty darn awesome! Seems like a cross between the Platinum French cover, and the Ariel's Beginning cover.

According to this, the sequels will also be released on Blu-ray in Germany both separately and as a trilogy pack.

Why won't there be a Blu-ray 3D release? I hope that doesn't mean there won't be one anywhere.

Yeah, we had that "honour". I doubt they'd give us the old dub though. We are a much smaller market, you are a huge one.The people who actually buy the movie are even less (piracy + high costs) We also don't have something similar to Amazon where you can rate your purchases. To conclude, the system and customer behaviour doesn't help at all in things like that.

I've been watching a VHS rip ever since I re-entered Disney animation. I plan on putting the VHS audio on the BD video but as you can imagine it's difficult and less than ideal. I've gone to ridiculous lengths (taking with Ariel's voice actor for example) to get a hold of a digital source (poor chance, I know) but no luck so far.

If I recall correctly, the 3D combo pack of Beauty and the Beast didn't come out until it's 3D theatrical release came to theaters and it happened kind of at the same time, so if that's true, maybe they will release the 3D combo will come whenever they decide to release it theatrically?

It's about time the original German dub gets put on DVD/Blu-Ray. I prefer that dub and I'm not even German. I will be buying this release for sure.
Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

That's a major victory for Germany, that they finally include the original dub!
