Re: RIP Annette Funicello
RIP. What a wonderful person.
Re: RIP Annette Funicello
To me, Annette was the true "Disney Princess" with her undying love & respect for all that is Disney! I would like to see an Annette museum established at all theme parks. In addition, there should be a recreation of the recording studio where Annette recorded her music & make it so little kids can sing along with her to make their very own Disney CD duet single. Annette Funicello was the biggest name associated with the Disney company other than the Disney family so as a tribute & a show of grattitude & appreciation for all she's done for the Disney company, they should allow her memory to live on with all that is Disney. R.I.P. Annette! You were classy & that's how I will always remember you!
We are all brothers & sisters on this planet earth. We must plant the seeds of love today for our children's tomorrow.
Re: RIP Annette Funicello
What a sad week!! The world really does feel different knowing that Annette Funicello is no-longer a part of it. I hope that the Disney Company will release some more of her work from the vaults that has not been available for decades ....or at all.
Aside from an actress, singer, and Disney and Hollywood legend, Annette is also credited for her strength by coming forward as an advocate for MS patients and research. She took us all along with her as she battled her illness, there-by educating the world about a disorder few knew much about. She established her own Research Fund to personally have a hand in directing funds to projects that were important to MS patients and their families. It was also her desire to provide the public a means to support such research, with the assurance that their donated dollars would be used for research and not to pay someones salary or wasted.
I think in the end we all hope we can look back on our life and feel we have made a difference in the world. This shy, unlikely star has been a positive force in this world and has touched the lives and hearts of people from all generations. Who knew she would be called to such a task in life?
What is your purpose? How are you contributing to make the world a better place?
You can honor Annette's memory by making a contribution of any amount to her Research Fund at www.annetteconnection.com
You can also email your condolences to her family via the Research Fund Facebook page or by sending an email to webmaster@annetteconnection.com

Re: RIP Annette Funicello
I hope we get a lot of support on this one, it's the best we we at Open Vault Disney can think of for one last "Thank You" to this Disney Legend!
http://openvaultdisney.com/2013/04/14/j ... ign-event/Join Our “Thank You Annette” Campaign Event!
As many here may know, Disney Legend Annette Funicello passed away recently. Outside of Walt Disney himself, few individuals added more to the Disney brand name then “Annette,” as she was known to Disney fans. Surprisingly however, there are still a number of Disney titles featuring Ms. Funicello that have been collecting dust in the Disney vault and we feel this needs to be corrected!
To honor this Disney Legend, we are calling on the Disney faithful to join us this coming Friday, April 19, 2013, as we campaign for these classis titles featuring the beloved Mouseketeer. Here is what we are asking each of you to do:
1.) On Friday (4/19/13), please visit the Disney Movie Club’s official Facebook page. Link below:
https://www.facebook.com/DisneyMovieClub
2.) Then, please write a short comment asking for no more than 3 Annette Funicello Disney unreleased titles you’d like to see them release (we have a list of titles to pick from below). It is VERY important you limited it to just 3 titles this time as long lists won’t be taken as seriously and probably won’t be looked at as closely. Don’t worry, we’ll do this again for other Disney titles not yet released.
3.) Make sure you mention that Open Vault Disney sent you. Please be nice in the comment.
4.) And that it is! If you are not on Facebook, please feel free to write an e-mail HERE. For extra, please share this event with friends and family. If it does well enough, we’ll do this again soon.
THANKS! Let’s go out there and fight for these final unreleased Annette Funicello Disney titles on DVD. Let’s make sure future generations are able to fully enjoy these shows!

Re: RIP Annette Funicello
Thanks for the efforts, milo.
Since these are the main unreleased Annette features, I would focus most on:
Escapade in Florence (1962)
The Horsemasters (1961)
(FYI your list mistakenly reads "Escape" instead of "Escapade")
You note an email for those without Facebook but there is no link or hot text...

Thanks for pointing out the miss-spelling, it will be corrected. As for the link, it's on the original post on openvaultdisney.com, but you can find it here as well:merlinjones wrote:Thanks for the efforts, milo.
