WOW HOW EXCTINGLuke wrote:Nick and Jessica doing "Whole New World"? Awesome!
Glad they're including trailers this time.
Now if they did that then they would have nothing to really market again during its re-relase Beauty and the beast has 2 other songs that didnt make the DVD but on the 2nd disc in dissussing it somone mentioned realsing them or something. I am sure same goes for Aladdin. Now that's more like it!
I don't want to be the pickiest guy in the world, but it is a shame Disney isn't going to include all the deleted songs. Still, I'm happy with what they are including
All I have to say about this is YAYGorgeous box, but one oddity: Aladdin's now on the spine instead of Genie. I hope this is a permanent change because I'd much prefer the TITLE CHARACTER to be on the spine of his own movie's DVD.
It is very odd that Disney would suddenly change the cover again, let alone the DVD specs (which are a nice change). I would presume it must be close to Production time and they're just making a few final adjustments to the overall package. As for Aladdin on the spine; I could be mistaken, but maybe Aladdin's only on the left spine whilst Genie's on the right, as the right side is the only side we normally see. Nice to see more deleted songs. I must agree with Aaron and Kelvin in saying this package just keeps getting better and better, and making me even more ancy for October 5th and some news on Bambi!Disneykid wrote:Gorgeous box, but one oddity: Aladdin's now on the spine instead of Genie. I didn't get past the first page of replies, but I noticed a theme of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars being generally disliked on this board.
I personally could do without them in ANY Animated Feature Film. I'd much rather have the film as it was originally released. A new song or two is fine if there's an option to watch it in the 'new version' or in the original release. As for the Circle of Stars, I watch the Disney Channel when a new Disney Channel movie "premEARS" or if there's really nothing on TV. Other than that, I don't enjoy watching the shows on TDC. (I admit going through a short phase and watching That's So Raven, Kim Possible, and Lizzie McGuire, but I was sick in bed for a month!)
Anyway, when I was little and the Disney Channel showed nothing but cartoons (i.e. Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers...etc...) and the occasional live action movie. However, with the new shows like That's So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, Kim Possible, Even Stevens, and The Proud Family actors such as Hilary Duff, Raven and Christy Carlson Romano are becoming increasingly famous, especially with the younger generation.
I thought it was interesting to see all of the Disney Channel's stars together and I'm sure the younger generation completely enjoyed it. I mean, if they had a movie or show with MY favorite actors/actresses/characters, I'd be first to tune in! It's all of those crossover fan fictions come to life.
My point: I've accepted the fact that The Disney Channel and Disney DVD/Disney Home Video is changing to satisfy the younger crowd, (since that's who the majority of shows and movies are aimed at now-a-days...perfect example: The Disney Princess Line of infinate stuff and most of the Direct to Video sequels, well, at least the bad ones).
I've accepted the fact that Disney (especially the Disney Channel) is changing to suit kids who are younger than I am, but I refuse say that they deserve to be The Lion King or ANY Disney DVD with an Animated Feature Film...but *sigh*, they are, and there's nothing I can do to change it.

I think he meant the Aladdin sequals not new ones. And I wonder the same question and I am pretty sure I have asked it a million times and the most accurate answer I have received is the early 2005 more than likley at least I hope soUncle Remus wrote:Sequels?SofaKing381222 wrote:Any news on the sequels?
SEQUELS?
We dont want any sequels!
i wouldnt be suprised if disney replaced the 'circle of stars' with nick/jessica.
a few of there 'key' disney stars were in college, recording debut cds, on tour/stage.. when AWNW would of been done, unless of course they included stars from newer stuff like 'phil of the future'.
it's kind of a shame that some of these stars, who i believe can sing pretty well over hilary have to wait to get a song for disney. it took christy romano almost 4 years to do a solo song for disney where it took shorter for miss.duff and anneliese finally got her own song for a original movie, which she should of on the TSR soundtrack. that girl is a great singer...IMO

I was just kidding around. I was thinking of how a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz movie would say that. or maybe even Gollum from the Lord of the Rings trilogySofaKing381222 wrote:Hey! I liked the sequels! Even the newer ones!
Sequels? SEQUELS! Smeagol doesn't want no sequel. You keep your sequels. Smeagol likes his movies raw... and wiggly.
Loomis's comment to Uncle Remus: You're hopeless.

I could not agree more with you. Christy Romano in my eyes is the best singer form the Disney channle stars her voice is awsome and its a shame she did not do more singing for them nothing against Hilary or Raven.lylh18 wrote:i wouldnt be suprised if disney replaced the 'circle of stars' with nick/jessica.

But I dope that the Disney channle stars sing a whole new wolrd its a song thay I can hear in many different ways and never get sick of it. The Disney Channle Stars would just be another cool version I think so at least

...Unfortunately.
Well as long as we're nit-picking (I know, I know, I'm letting DG down), I do really like the disc art, but I wish Aladdin & Jasmine were on Disc 1 and the lamp was on Disc 2, lol. It doesn't really matter, though.
