Gift Sets

Post by reaganhockey »

Okay, after some thought about my current budget, I've decided I can afford to RE-buy all the gift sets and give just the movies I already have to my little cousins. (For example: get the Lion King gift set, and since I already have just the movie...give that to my little cousins and get the gift set if that makes ANY sense hehe) And I've seen the lists of which movies are out and found those very helpful, already bought a handful of them since *can't remember his/her name who posted it* posted the list. But could anyone point me in the direction or list the dvds that have gift sets? I kno of the Lion King and Aladdin (which I'll be purchasing when it comes out) but I don't know of the rest. Is it only the platinum edition's that get gift sets? What's the average price for a gift set? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much.

I'm sorry for the double post. I don't kno why everytime I try to post or start a new topic I always get two or more stupid copies. sooooooo sorry. and its not that i'm computer illerterate *i'm spelling dumb tho* this forum just doesnt like me! heheeh jk .

Aladdin and The Lion King are the only gift sets that include bonuses like books and artwork.

The upcoming DTV "The Three Musketeers" has a lower-priced Gift Set with a Mickey Mouse plush doll:

Also, the dreadful "Belle's Magical World" is available in a "Gift Pack" with a "magical purse":

Those are the only DVD gift sets in the US that I can think of, but there are a bunch more and different versions in Europe.

Set to magically deprive you of your money...

This purse WANTS to buy Beauty & the Beast DTVs! Just set it down in a shopping mall and it will go straight to the DTV counter.

(NB: Yes, I'm all for DTVs and sequels, but we all agree on Belle's Magical World, right?)

I've been rebuying some myself.

I don't know if you have multi-region capabilties, reagan, but 2099net posted a whole lot of international packaging images here:

Thanks Loomis! They are awful nice to look at, and I'm not sure if my dvd player will play them. But that brings up another question. I found in the shop here (and your link)a france (i think) multiple dvd set of Peter Pan, among others. And I clicked on it and it took me to Amazon but it was all in French. I'd love to buy the movie (subtitles please hehehe) bc I just love Peter Pan, and I'll be in French 2 next year so you kno, but I can't read it enough to buy it, is there any way I can buy it on like NORMAL Amazon? Or somewhere else...you kno where I could read it? hehehe

Does anyone else buy movies in different languages that you love so much you just have to have? Or am I a loner? hehehe jk

I bought the 2-disc Peter Pan from Amazon.fr more than a year ago - and I don't understeand a word in French (OK, maybe five words :D ). I used a translator - Babylon Translator, actually. If you are used to Amazon.com, you won't find that troubling buying from Amazon.fr

As for the movie and extras, don't worry - you can watch them all in English. :)
