The Imagineering Story (Documentary)

Leslie Iwerks, granddaughter of Mickey Mouse co-creator Ub Iwerks, has started work on a Disney-commissioned documentary about its Imagineering division.

Iwerks revealed the project Friday at Hearst Castle at the West Coast premiere of her documentary “Citizen Hearst.”

I would love to see that made. I thought her documentary "The Pixar Story" was fantastic.

The long-gestating film has been turned into a TV series for Disney Plus.

The documentary series chronicles the 65+ year history of Walt Disney Imagineering with parallel storylines of the people, the craft, and the business. The series is produced by Iwerks & Co. and directed by Leslie Iwerks.
