keep in mind that this is from my experience buying from Greece, it may be different for you. It may be that the local post office is at fault but Amazon.co.uk's estimates are dead on (I'm playing with my new iPod which had today as the delivery date right nowatlanticaunderthesea wrote:Wow, that really is all over the place ?! What has happened to them ?
Thank you for the information though ...
Peter Pan Blu-ray (2013)
I ordered Pocahontas and B&B 3D from Amazon and the est. delivery date was Dec. 19. I received it almost a week later, on the 25th.
Just before receiving my package, I chatted with a rep through their chat service and he advised me to wait a few more days and refunded the shipping cost.
But I was really disappointed and to make things worse, the box arrived almost open. The lady at the post office handed it to me and it wasn't even plastered with anything, the discs almost fell out of the box so she had to turn it upside down.
I think I'm gonna try DeepDiscount when ordering Peter Pan.

Hey Atlantica!
Regarding Amazon, I find their service pretty good. I've used the UK, USA, Germany and Italy sites.
However, orders from the USA do take some time to get here (to Malta, at least). The average is three weeks. Usually USA orders get here before the estimated delivery date. I think Amazon deliberately exaggerate those dates to make sure their customers won't be disappointed.
Still, I'm going to check out that Deep Discount site Lnds posted about.

Sorry, I forgot to answer this.stevemcqueen wrote:Lnds500, Can you please elaborate on your experience with Deep Discount? Do they ship fast? and do they pack the items properly and carefully? Thanks
If I remember correctly, both items I have bought from them came in cardboard envelopes. I can't find what kind of envelope it was, it's not hard cardboard, like this one, but much more bendable and the insides have this wavy texture. Most of my slipcovers have problems around the edges cause of stupid packages but these make it even more likely to cause problems cause the item can move (and this is the death of slipcovers). Amazon has been a bit hit and miss with their shipping. They have sent me packages in almost every form you can image. Only one time have they sent me what seems to be the proper package to hold Blu-rays. That time the item arrived in pristine condition, like I had just bought it off of a store.
In other news, my Monsters Inc 3D order from DeepDiscount has shipped

Thanks Lnds500!! If it's the same "hit & miss" thing just like Amazon, I may give it a go next time, just to get the stuff early. Have nothing to lose right? I'm so impressed with their shipping time, You get to have the stuff before the actual release!Lnds500 wrote:Sorry, I forgot to answer this.stevemcqueen wrote:Lnds500, Can you please elaborate on your experience with Deep Discount?
