Thanks for sharing, as always!
As far as trailers go, it was OK. The lens flare was annoying, though.
Interestingly, neither the booklet ad nor the trailer specify whether it's a theatrical or a home video release. It looks like that was done on purpose. The status of the release must have been uncertain by the time the Peter Pan Blu-ray was being put together.

Same!!!! Watched it three times nowatlanticaunderthesea wrote:Oh my god, I am actually dead. Absolutely beautiful trailer; classic and simple. Got goosebumps when they said 'the film that gave voice to a generation'......
So happy ! (Though it didnt say Diamond Edtion ... it still is though, right?!)

It had better still be a Diamond!!
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel

Yeah, I think so! This one is for the 3D theatrical re-issue. They will update it in the future and add Diamond Edition.atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Oh my god, I am actually dead. Some thoughts on the trailer (my opinions but please debate)
- it has grain (and lots of it), that's for sure, but some shots are completely clean. I wonder if we are looking at 2 different restorations - a new, clean one and the old restoration. It uses the same restoration, only brightened up
- the shot of Ariel looking at Eric is a bit soft (not from DNR though)
- I LOVE the "you belong to me [kaboom]" part of the trailer
- The trailer is a mess, content-wise. It throws everything it has from the movie but somehow it works extremely well
! The story and characters aren't mentioned at all, it lets all the visual and acoustic material to do the work. You can only do that with a film so popular and well known as the Little Mermaid. A brilliant and bold trailer!
- Hold your horses about a 3D Blu-ray. The trailer doesn't mention Blu-ray anywhere, it's clearly referring to the now-cancelled theatrical re-release.
- note to self: when your video is being uploaded/processed put it in huge bold letters otherwise people won't notice it in their excitement.
As always, you are all welcome!

Who knows, maybe the 3D theatrical re-issue is stiill on. Otherwise, the trailer is extremely confusing.Lnds500 wrote: - Hold your horses about a 3D Blu-ray. The trailer doesn't mention Blu-ray anywhere, it's clearly referring to the now-cancelled theatrical re-release.

Thank you!
They definitely used the old restoration, it's the exact same look of the HDTV rip which in turn was an upscaled version of the PE. The softness is all over the place (almost).
The trailer was done nicely.

Is there a chance that this will be bundled with the expensive edition of the TLM BD (like Peter Pan's)?DylanCharles90 wrote:Anybody see the new illustrations for the diamond edition books that will come out??? They're on the new DP website! here's the link!
