You all know the "What Disney Movie Did You Just Watch" thread in General Discussion. Well this is it's Off-Topic counterpart, and I think it's more or less self-explanatory . No Disney movies! And because we could all go way back, let's say don't list any movies you saw prior to July 14th. Oh, and feel free to type a brief comment (a line or two) on what you thought of the movie- no spoilers!
For me, it's been..
Butterfly Effect, Spider-Man 2, Gangs Of New York, all for the first time. SM2 was my favorite of these. I really liked the other two, but had a few slight problems with them.
But which Butterfly Effect did you watch? The Theatrical or the Director's Cut (which is supposed to be much better). Oh, and before anyone starts, I'm 100% supportive of the Director's Cut being on DVD as the theatrical cut is included on the same disc.

Theatrical. There was some debate, but it was late and some of the people watching it with us had to get up early for work, so the theatrical version was selected in the interest of time. I think it's probably better to see the theatrical run first anyways. If/when I buy it (the jury is still out), I'll watch the director's cut.
I forgot to mention that I watched Agent Cody Banks 2 (decent) and Cruel Intentions 2 (terrible), each for the first time, this week, and I just got back from seeing I, Robot (incredibly fantastic, as well as fantastically incredible).
History has a way of repeating itself doesn't it. I said in another thread that lastf weekend I chose to see the amazing <b>Spider-Man 2</b> a second time over King Arthur. Did the same thing today and took a third spin in the web, tying it with The Lion King, George of the Jungle, The Parent Trap (1998), and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as the most times I've seen a movie in theaters. And I'm going back AGAIN on the 28th with a friend who has yet to see it. And then when our IMAX gets itself off its lazy butt and gets it (they got Harry Potter late, sigh, and just started that, so they won't be getting Spider-Man 2 until mid-to-late August at the earliest) I'll see it again there, too.
Why am I seeing the same movie in theaters five times or more, I wonder?
And then I remember how great a movie it is, as I do every time I see it--a truly superb summer blockbuster with heart. The usual great action scenes are there, and they're a thrill ride. But there's also the quiet, character driven moments that really are the heart of the picture, and the emotion packed into this film resonates so much with everyone. The acting, too, is superb, and the balance of humor and tears is pitch perfect. Spider-Man 2 truly ranks up there as one of the best movies of all time. And it never gets boring. Stands up amazingly well to repeat viewings.

It would serve essentially the same purpose as this, but would keep itself bumped at the top, so people like me wouldn't get so behind. Everyone would still have a record of what they've watched right there in the thread, and they could even keep track of it on a Word document at the same time, if they wanted. Whaddya think?

And the "-Aaron" is a habit dating back years to MBs I joined long before this one, I don't think about it. And I don't know, I just like it. I've never really liked using names as usernames though (no offense to those who do!). But thanks for noticing.
Here... it seems like the tradition in your thread (one of my favorites- I nominated it for somehting or other) is straight-up Disney only, so I would say that those go here. We normally discuss them in off-topic anyways.
