Surprised at the inclusion of Pirates and annoyed by the lack of token foreign films. They don't have a shot of winning but I like using the Oscars to filter out the notable ones.
Other than that, pretty much expected.
On the nominees, I highly doubt Pixar will win this year. Brave was far too mediocre (a step up from Cars 2 but not really worthy of an Ocaar). Frankenweenie was okay as well but that won't most likely win either. I haven't seen any of the other noms so I can't say any other way (However Paranorman does not interest me at all so I hope that does not win)
Of the best animated short I am also kind of baffled to how The Simpsons theatrical short got nominated. It may have been interesting, but I guess they must had a hard time picking nominations that they picked this one.
