Nope, it IS 2006. It was mentioned at one point for 2005 but both II and III are 2006, sort of like the double punch of the Matrix sequels back to back last year.

Hey what do you know. maybe Captain Jack Sparrow will be stuck between the living world and the dead world in the beggining of the 3rd movie.

I'm reeeeeally looking forward to this! I mean, seriously, imagine what Tim Burton can do with a candy factory . . . *drools* but anyway, I read an interview (probably on this site) where Johnny Depp said he wasn't afraid to sing if he had to. I hope he has to!

Jambo, that's awesome! Was it in regards to the movie, or an unrelated quote? Hopefully that's an indication that he will sing in the movie! And yes, I agree that Burton is the perfect fit for Wonka, or almost any Dahl work, for that matter. But then I am a tad worried that he might get a little too dark and twisted, lol, but I don't think it'll be a problem. The original pick to play Wonka was Christopher Walken, which would've been interesting to see as well.

Oh yeah, add King Kong, Bewitched, Brothers Grimm to my list.

1. Star Wars: Episode III
2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
3. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
4. Batman Begins

Those are the only 2005 movies I'm thinking about right now. I'm pretty sure Goblet of Fire and Batman Begins will be good, but I'm not so sure about the other two. If LWW sucks then the whole Narnia series will most likely be ruined. And then in Star Wars land, Episode II wasn't too good but Darth Vader's in this one so that should at least make this one a little better.

Actually I heard that the movie wasnt not going to be a musical. i remember reading that Dahl (the author to Charle and the Chocolate Factory) didnt like the first movie version of the book. Dahl actually hated it so much that when the people who made the movie asked if they can do the sequel, Dahl told them no. anyways back to topic. the movies i want to see in 2005 are:

Harry Potter 4
Star Wars Episode 3
Cars
Chicken Little
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

and mostly thats it.

Haha, now that would be weird! Walken's too creepy for me, I don't think I'd like that. In my opinion, Depp is perfect. By the way, here are some interesting articles about the project, in case anyone's interested:

On Freddie Highmore (recently cast as Charlie, and also the kid who plays Raoul in Two Brothers) - http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertainmen ... =yyyz4583z

More on Freddie - http://imdb.com/name/nm0383603/

A site with lots of links - http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=4816

I'm really interested in this, it sounds like it's going to be pretty cool - though filming was held up because a camera fell into a vat of chocolate! :P

Indeed, but then that's the case with every role when you're talking about Johnny Depp.

I'm not really sure. Maybe Harry Potter & the goblet of fire. Also the next pokemon movie. There are only seven, but they might release it to DVD and VHS next year. Probably not, but what the hey. I can't wait for them. I guess those are the only 2 exept Cars. Sounds interesting, not GREAT, but good and interesting. =^.^=

I really want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I'm looking forward to seeing how Johnny Depp portrayls Willy Wonka. I never really loved the first version. It was kind of weird and psycadellic and...interesting.

I've never heard of it until now, but Brothers Grimm seems interesting!

I'm also looking forward to Chicken Little, even though some people don't think its going to work. From the little preview I saw on Brother Bear DVD, I think it will be very good and very funny! You'd have to tell me it wasn't with Pixar to know it wasn't with Pixar.

I also want to see Chronicles of Narnia nad Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but not as much as Chicken Little and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. My enthusiasm for HP is waning... :(

EDIT:
It's not a theater movie, but I'm really looking forward to the Muppet Wizard of Oz Disney movie! It's not gonna be a remake of the well known MGM one, but a more faithful book adaptation. The MGM one took a lot out and changed/cut and paste a lot of things (much like the HP films).

i remeber one time the Muppets did a version of that film. on the show Muppet-Babies, they did a version of the Wizard of Oz with:
Miss Piggy - Dorothy
Kermit - Scarecrow
Gonzo - The Tin Man
Fozzie - The Lion

i wish i could get more info on this episode.

Kram, thanks for mentioning that one... I can't wait! Too bad it won't be coming to theaters. Did Muppets From Space go to theaters? It seems like I remember seeing it there, but I may have just rented it. Remus, surprisingly, I don't think I ever saw that episode, but I would love to. Too bad Muppet Babies doesn't still run on TV.

Muppets in Space did go to heaters because i remember seeing it theaters. i liked the joke in the beggining of the movie. strange. :| for some odd reason, i cant find the episode where the Muppets did a parody of the Wizard of Oz. i remember seeing in the opening credits a scene with them parodying the Wizard of Oz.

I vaguely remember that episode. If I'm not mistaken, I think the episode revolved around the Muppets being bored because the nursery was being painted so they couldn't play in it. They start to go through their storybooks and imagine themselves in various stories including The Wizard of Oz. There was also a Robin Hood portion of that episode, too, I believe, as well as something else. I really miss this show.

I love Muppets in Space! It is so funny! "Build a jacuzzi! And we will coooommmmeee!" I remember Muppet Babies! It was one of my favorites shows. They did A LOT of parodies like...there was an episode about famous art, one about Star Trek (and I think Star Wars), there was one with nursery rhymes, even one with Cyrano de Bergerac! What really annoyed me was you never got to see the top half of Nanny; like how you never saw the entire face all at once of the neighbor in Home Improvement. Anyhow, back to the topic...

Heh, nothing more to say about 2005...
