^Thanks.
You mean the pencil line around the character?
Colors on Disney restorations?
Jpanimation, the Disney butchery goes even beyond grain scrubbling & grain smoothing, they go to the point to remake cheaply all the animations by rotoscoping all the moving action elements in order to improve it and remake all the backgrounds with freeze frames that have lost elements like depth of field, or to repaint it compleatly, destroying details. Not enough people are aware of this, unfortunately. What else can be done before it's too late ?
It's different than what Jpanimation said about losing the pencil line. Keep in mind that some of these handdrawn films would not have looked as stunning on blu-ray if they were not tempered with. HD reveals flaws in the print that weren't visible in standard definition. That's why it's fine with me that they're improving it to match the high resolution that is available nowadays.monks19 wrote:and remake all the backgrounds with freeze frames that have lost elements like depth of field, or to repaint it compleatly, destroying details.
