You should try calling and see of they can hold one for you for a couple days. The store I go to only had two left when I got there just an hour after they opened today!

I'm surprised more people on here aren't as into the collectible cases. As far as I'm concerned, these are THE releases to own. They're the only ones I but anymore. They look great on display next to my "Art of" books of their respective films.

You are very right! I bought three of them and there were only six left 10 minutes after the store opening!

Does anyone have a good shot of the Finding Nemo steelbook, front and back ? I'm looking to add it to DVDProfiler.
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

I wish Disney put some of the empty cases on Disney Movie Rewards. Some of these I wasn't able to get when they came out because I wasn't buying Blu-rays yet or the steelbook versions came out months after the Blu-ray initially came out (Toy Story and Toy Story 2 I'm looking at you).

The ones I have are:

Snow White
Lion King
BaTB
Cinderella
Finding Nemo
Toy Story 3

That woul be a nice idea. But I'm not sure they have any more left - they were all limited runs as far as I know. But I think DMR would be a great outlet for them if they do.

Looks like Viva Metal Box is over, at least in the US. They were sued by Glud & Marstrand (makers of Steelbooks) for patient infringement. Because of this they can no longer make or sell Viva Metal Box cases in the US.

I wonder if Disney will switch back to Steelbooks at Best Buy for preorders, or if this is it?

Who Framed Roget Rabbit is getting the Steelbook treatment! Hopefully this is a sign that Disney is indeed continuing with their Collectible Packaging.

For those of you interested in these, the UK retailer Zavvi appears to be interested in taking up the mantle on Disney steelbook releases. They just released Roger Rabbit, and Aladdin has just gone up for preorder. Even more exciting: "Wreck" from HiDefNinja (a staff member who is in contact with the creators of Steelbook) has started a thread today with the intentions of creating a wishlist of Disney steelbooks to send to the creators. It's already an extremely active topic, so go join the conversation!

I know not a whole lot of you seem interested in steelbooks (you don't know what you're missing!), but Wreck at HiDefNinja has now added a poll of possible upcoming Disney steelbooks, in order to better judge which titles would sell best.

http://www.hidefninja.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32023

Go vote! Even if you aren't into steelbooks, you should go vote for your favorites anyways :p
