Also with Target They are advertising where you can save $7.50 for a Disney Doll. Don't know which ones they are talking about. I hope I can get a Merida for my niece. :)

I'm aware of these extra, but am not interested in any of them. I might wait to pick this film up. Cyber Monday sales are around the corner, and if there is nothing extra besides the plain Blu-ray package, I'd rather save money and wait.

Did anyone get the packaging that was supposed to get a hard back book@ Target? I knew about it, but forgot to see if the Target I went to actually had that. Usually I would get the Digital copy package but I had no interest in the 3D blu ray (and don't have a 3D TV & 3D Player yet).

Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

WalMart has a plush Angus packed with theirs.

I did. The book is actually the case. I also got the Cinderella and Secret of the Wings book packaging that Target released. :)

I got the DVD version. It doesn't have a slipcover like Secret of the Wings did, but it's a nice tradeoff that we get full disc art :)

OH ok, well that is why Disney isn't putting out a coupon, you are actually paying for the extras lol.

I got the 5-Disc set at Best Buy today and I noticed a little scratch on the Blu-ray. :(
It also looked like a finger print was on the disc as well. I whipped that off with a micro fiber clothe but I am a little worried about the scratch. I mean it is really small, would that make the blu-ray skip? :?

Just take it back and ask for a replacement. Best Buy is notorious for selling used/refurbed discs. I've caught them doing it a few times myself and I know they've been sued for it before. I know it just came out but somehow they mess with the discs, sometimes.

^doubtful. Blu-rays have an extra layer of scratch-resistent coating, so it'll probably play just fine.

How could it be used when it just came out today? :?

To answer, it might've been the guy packing it at Disney was careless for a second.

And I never heard of Best Buy doing this. have the discs really suffered from that? cuz if they havent, I gotta ask them we're they get them cleaned and if they'll clean mine. :) :P

I've found finger prints on some discs too, from random companies. Its from careless packaging/handling when the Blu-ray/DVD is packed. Luckily all these have wiped off easily for me with a microfiber cloth.

However if the disc is scratched I would ask for an exchange. Blu-rays are harder to scratch because of the coating, but a scratched Blu-ray can cause more problems than a scratched DVD.

Anyway I finally watched Brave last night, and it was great. I hate I missed this one in the theater.

I *used* to shop Best Buy a lot and I've seen all sorts of things from them. I've returned defective discs to find them put back out on the shelves. I bought a DVD that had mayonaise or something on this disc, eek! I had one that just plain stank.

I still shop there, just not as much. They do seem to be more polite than they used to be and they accept manufacturer's coupons now as well.

It is very small though.
I don't want to exchange it and then I get another one like that, you know? Maybe I should try and take a picture of it.

I think Disney didn't offer a coupon because of Walmart prices. Usually Disney 3D Blu-ray are around 24.99 with $5 Disney coupon and Walmart has it for sale for 24.96 with no coupon.

Walmart
14.96 for the DVD
18.96 for the Blu-ray Combo Pack
19.96 for the Brave Walmart Exclusive Gift Set
24.96 (NOT adverstise) for the 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack

Target
15.99 for the DVD
19.99 for the Blu-ray Combo Pack
27.99 for the 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack
29.99 for the Brave Target Exclusive Storybook

Best Buy
16.99 for the DVD
22.99 for the Blu-ray Combo Pack
27.99 for the 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack OR 20.49 if you pre-order it.
29.99 for the Brave Best Buy Exclusive Collectable Lunchbox

Cheapest Brave purchase has to be Walmart. If you want the 3D version Best Buy is the way to go if you pre-order it with the 7.50 collectable case or Walmart if you miss the pre-order.

I watched my Blu-ray of Brave for the first time last night. I thought it was enjoyable though not in the caliber of the best Pixar films. It was however a big step up from last year's bland Cars 2. Some said it did not feel like a Pixar film, but that's probably what makes it interesting.

The animation as usual was just amazing in this film. It's some of the studio's best. The story was half and half. The cliche princess wanting-to-rebel-against-her-mother plot was just meh, The film didn't really pick up until Merida visited the Witch for a spell.

-I did not care much for the three brothers. They did not have much of a purpose until they ate the enchanted cake and became bear cubs.
-The humor regarding Scottish stereotypes annoyed me a bit.
-I really did not care for the songs during the movie. I found them kind of distracting.

I'd give it at least a 7

Here is how I would rank the Pixar films after viewing Brave

1.Toy Story
2.The Incredibles
3.Toy Story 2
4.Up
5.Toy Story 3
6.Monsters Inc
7.WALL-E
8.Finding Nemo
Ratatouille
Brave
11.A Bugs Life
12.Cars
13.Cars 2 (highly doubt this spot will ever change)

I hope there's at least some animation in this short and not just consist of a series of illustrations.

Well that sucks... I was hoping it was going to be animated in that 2D painterly style.
