At dinner, and ONLY dinner. The counter service during the day is for guests that can't get a reservation but still want to experience the atmosphere.The_Iceflash wrote:Is alcohol being served during the lunch counter service or just the dinner table service? If it's the latter then, IMO, it doesn't really hurt the essence of Walt's wishes. I think he meant he didn't want it served ala EPCOT where you can walk around the park with it.

I know people are already complaining that this is identical to the DCA one, but I think this may be the most definitive version all thanks to the queue and the castle. Yeah, it may be a small thing that people ignore when they are walking through it, but it adds so much to the experience.
The DCA version is just housed within a building. It isn't themed to the experience. The New Fantasyland version takes advantage of that and more. Plus I like that Ariel is meeting people right next to her attraction, which doesn't happen at Disneyland/DCA (she only meets in her green dress).

Plus, I love that the Beauty and the Beast area is a more "adult" area within Fantasyland. A lot of people have complained that the Storybook Circus is too Family/Child centric with the kiddie coaster, the playground in Dumbo and the bright colors and such. I think the Beauty and the Beast area counters that with an area that is sophisticated, classy and very detailed. I mean, the Bonjour Village Gift store sells classy stuff instead of the typical theme park fare.
Also, I've noticed that in all the Gaston meet and greet videos the one approaching him are ADULTS. So with the tavern and the restaurant Disney has created an area adults can fully immense themselves in, while Enchanted Tales with Belle can appeal to families and children.
Dare I say it, I think this might inject A LOT of life into the Magic Kingdom once everything is finished. It was so good, it made me wish they did more expansions and updates within the Magic Kingdom.

Well, at least, in that scene, there is animation and movements. I did see some difference from the DCA ride. First, when you go down, there a lot of bubbles as an effect, which is amazing. Second, the animatronics of Ariel look more pretty and less creepy in the DLCA one. Third, the lightning is darker and the UntS scene looks a little different with the walls. Also, you see King Trition's castle right before Under the Sea.jpanimation wrote:I absolutely LOVE the queue for The Little Mermaid. In many ways, it outdoes the ride itself. Truly immersive. Too bad the ride still suffers from the shit ending, where the conclusion to Ursula's story arc isn't very satisfying at all. Still, awesome job on the exterior and the queue.
But, yeah the castle and the boarding area are defientely breath-taking

I want to see the new expansion SOOOO bad. My program had to go and end just before the majority of Fantasyland opened up. All I got to see was Storybook Circus.

I know! Even as a little girl I noticed her hair was reddish (although as a redhead myself, I always noticed redheads). My sister, being a blonde, always thought Cinderella was blonde. Most kids just don't notice, so I don't think a change will ever take place.
I personally would like to see her dress colour change to a lighter, silverier shade too. It would be so much prettier.
