Apple didn't invent Pixar. It started off as the computer division at ILM and then bought by Steve Jobs AFTER he left Apple in 1985. Apple had absolutely no involvement in the creation of Pixar.Polizzi wrote:What if Disney plans to buy Apple? After all, Apple invented Pixar, and Disney owns Pixar.

OK ...
1) A really big
to SuperAurora. I'd already seen that picture, but seeing again 10 times in a row was insanely funny. So thanks for making me laugh.
2) Valentine Bros, is that Simpsons shot original or Photoshopped? I hope it's original, because then it would be even funnier.
3) Seeing as Disney's on this shopping spree, I'm going to put myself up for sale (valued at $1,000,000) and hope Iger takes me on as a human ornament for one of his luxury apartments.
And when he's not there I can do whatever I like.

EDIT: Oops, I thought you were being a wise guy. Sorry.

I do realize you're talking about the computers, but I couldn't resist...

As a side-note -- And I apologize if I seem off topic, but I thought Iger was no longer head of Disney? Or whatever?

Actually this isn't a new trend. Since Frank Wells died in 1994, Eisner started an age old business tactic of buying companies and reorganizing them (and in some cases selling them off). In fact in the early 1980s....someone was going to do that with Walt Disney Productions.PixarFan2006 wrote:So, let me get this straight:
First they buy Marvel
Then they buy LucasFilm
Now they want to buy Hasbro?
What's next; Parker Brothers? CBS?
Consider that since 1995 it has been more like this:
Disney buys ABC and all its entities (ESPN, Miramax, etc)
Disney buys Infoseek (thereby taking over the entire go network operations)
Disney buys The Muppets
Disney buys PIXAR
Disney buys Winnie the Pooh
Disney buys Marvel
Disney buys Lucasfilm
and now potentially Disney buys Hasbro

It seems it was just a rumor after all. Of course, with Disney you never know.
Source: http://news.providencejournal.com/busin ... stock.htmlWhile most of the country focused Tuesday morning on the presidential election, Wall Street analysts turned their attention to Hasbro.
Stock in the Pawtucket-based toymaker spiked 6.8 percent to $38.66 at the opening bell amid speculation that Disney was preparing a multi-billion dollar bid for Hasbro. Hasbro declined comment, citing its policy of not talking about rumor or speculation.
CNBC analyst David Faber reported that Hasbro's advisors told him there's "absolutely nothing going on that they are aware of at all, in any way, shape or form" involving Hasbro or Disney. Wall Street analysts said a Disney acquisition didn't make much sense, just after Disney agreed to buy Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4.05 billion. And for any deal to happen, Hasbro would have to dissolve agreements with Disney's competitors.

Pshh. I mean, it's not like I watch MLP or anything.
The wedding episode was pretty much as Disneyesque as a non-Disney related thing thing could get, complete with a dozen Little Mermaid allusions.
I wonder though, would Disney completely butcher all the names associated with Hasbro (not just MLP, but also Littlest Pet Shop, Transformers, Care Bears etc.) and change them so much that they'd completely destroy everything that has to do with all of their brands, or would they keep things the same (including continuing airing shows on the Hub, and allowing their shows to be produced by the same people who's already making them)?
Either way, the Bronies would be pissed even if nothing changed. Seriously, they seem to be one of the most unpleaseable fanbases ever. Even more than the Disney fanbase. In fact, if it was confirmed not to be a rumor, I'm sure at least half the fanbase would demolish then and there considering how badly they took the rumor.
