I wonder if the Walt Disney Animation Studios logo is going to be altered, like the opening Disney logo. It would be strange going from 8-bit to full-colour super smooth 'n polished Mickey Mouse logo in a matter of seconds.

Disney Japan unveiled a new poster art with unprecedented Detonates Ralph ( Wreck-It Ralph ), which shows the title character and Vanellope von Schweetz the racing game Sugar Rush. Directed by Emmy ® Winner Rich Moore ( The Simpsons, Futurama) , the animation follows Ralph, the villain in a video game who dreams of becoming a hero.

Detonates Ralph really wants to be as beloved as his game opponent, the perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix. The problem is that nobody likes Bandits. But everyone loves heroes ... so when there is a modern shooter that shows the perspective of the protagonist, showing the character of tough Sergeant Calhoun,[ removed because it was spoilerish] Vanellope von Schweetz, [removed because it was spoilerish] But will he realize that is good enough to become a hero before it "Game Over" for the entire arcade?

With voices of John C. Reilly ( We need to Talk About Kevin ), Jack McBrayer (TV's 30 Rock ), Sarah Silverman ( The Muppets ) and Jane Lynch (TV's Glee ), Ralph Detonates Brazilian hit theaters on January 4, 2013.

I'm so surprised at how spoilerish that was !

The first major review of Wreck-It Ralph has been released and it's incredibly positive:

And these two rarely give films 100% perfect ratings. So, for both of them to give it 5/5 is pretty impressive.

I wouldn't worry, Joblo is 100% nerds. They went in with specific expectations. Which is dumb.

I dunno . . . he kind of lost credibility for me by referring to "O'Reilly's voicework" especially since he got the name right in the first paragraph.

Not too fond of the review myself but thought it would be good to have a somewhat mixed review to balance out all the otherwise highly positive reception from those who have watched it.

Actually, I'm ok with this review myself. Was just annoyed at some of the reviewer's other reviews and that isn't really fair of me.

I got to see a preview screening of Wreck-It Ralph tonight...and it's amazing! I think you're all going to love it. Yes, all of you. Rich Moore really understood the appeal of video games and why the classics still hold up. If you love video games, this is for you.The cameos are handled very well and it's fun looking in the background at Game Central Station. More than makes up for the lack of Mario. However, the best aspect of Wreck-It Ralph (along with the hilarious comedy) is its heart. They applied Disney magic to video games superbly! The relationship between Vanellope and Ralph is so incredibly sweet and their growth is a natural development. So, the sad bits really hit. I also think a lot of the younger audience (and maybe the older ones) will definitely identify with Vanellope's story. Of the voice-actors, Sarah Silverman and Jack McBrayer are the MVPs. If she was eligible, Silverman deserves serious Oscar consideration. And McBrayer was perfect casting for Fix-It Felix, Jr. Also, Alan Tudyk does a spot-on take on Ed Wynn's Mad Hatter. So, yes, Wreck-It Ralph definitely lives up to the hype of every video game fan. And, hey, maybe Bowser has a heart, too.

I also have to give props to John Kahrs for Paperman (which plays before Wreck-It Ralph). Such a funny and enchanting short. Please, Disney, make a full feature in that style!

Unfortuantely, I've got to offer a bit of a negative review. I found the film to be a mish-mash with poor story and no heart. I liked the art direction and felt like the game character cameos were gimmicky. Everything about this film screams 'test audience'. I really find it hard to find anything "Disney" about 'Ralph'. It's not a horrible film by any means, but its more like something Sony Animation or Dreamworks would make.

I don't recommend AGAINST seeing this film, but there is nothing extraordinary to warrant me to recommend it in the first place.
