I originally thought that was why the Snow White Blu Ray was called a Diamond edition - the whole Dwarf mining thing . But I was a little out of the Disney loop at the time.

The promotional tagline might end up being 'A thousand apologies, oh patient one'.

i dont really have feelings on this. Disney already eroded the label enough to make me question whether Aladdin of Peter Pan will even get anything new.

But I am hoping they remaster that "flight" thing for HD. That was nice.

Poor poor Aladdin :( stuck forever in the cave of wonders

I had a feeling they'd pair Peter Pan & Mermaid together.

I was kind of hoping TLM would be delayed; I want to make sure I have enough money to see it in theaters as many times as I would like.

So I'm guessing they're behind on 3D conversion for Aladdin?

My word of advice to Disney? Well, to paraphrase something from the latest Spider-Man movie, don't make promises you can't keep.

Believe it or not, they've actually made promises they couldn't keep, such as Fantasia World, Black Cauldron's latest release having more than one deleted scene and pretty much Aladdin as a Diamond Edition.

Aladdin should be released during Fall, not Spring. And it NEEDS to be converted to 3D!:D
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

^ Then one of them will have to take the fall and the other, well, the Fall.

With all do respect, if it was a battle between the two, The Little Mermaid would win .......

No disrespect to Aladdin though, I love that movie, but in terms of popularity it will be Mermaid without a shadow of a doubt.

I wish that Aladdin would have been release in the Fall of 2013 and The Little Mermaid in the Fall of 2014. I know it would have been more time for TLM but Aladdin got released in 2004 while TLM got released in 2006.

Now after this confused schedule hopefully Aladdin gets released as a Diamond Edition for Fall 2014. Hopefully there's going to be a 3D release too if not I wonder what's the reason for the delayed/cancellation.

So incredibly disappointing. As far as I'm concerned Aladdin is a WWAYYY better movie than Peter Pan (although I may be biased, Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie :P )

Guess we'll just have to wait a little longer for Aladdin on Blu-ray :/
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

But Aladdin stayed on the shelves much longer... By the time Mermaid was back in the vault, Aladdin was still available.

Uh not quite accurate. Aladdin was back in the vault a full year before Mermaid. Of course, copies could've still been on shelves depending on where you went, but production was stopped so it was circumstantial.

What if 'Aladdin' was still part of the Diamond collection in Europe? I was wondering about this since 'Peter Pan' is being released in November in some countries...

It's not according to Disney Germany.

Really? I thought it was just in France who dropped the line after Snow White. Do you know which European countries don't have the Diamond line?

I thought they dropped it in Holland as well, but I just checked and was mistaken. My bad.
