Malware Warning

Post by Elladorine »

I'm getting a malware warning when I visit the second page of the Secret Santa thread: http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 2&start=20

Curiously enough, it points to Aaron's site.

Thanks for pointing this out. Aaron had some kind of hacking on his site that has since been resolved, so you shouldn't be getting such a message anymore.

Did you actually click to enter Aaron's site?

I just did and... my anti-virus thing popped right up and infomed me that I was ATTACKED. But, luckily, the attack has been blocked. So, it's not just a warning that there might be an attacker- there actually IS an attacker still camped out at Aaron's homepage.

My site was apparently attacked over the weekend by a spam outfit using a backdoor WordPress security vulnerability. The problem existed for less than 24 hours and during that time, Google and most major browsers blocked access to the site in order to protect web users. It's quite frustrating that this kind of thing happens, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

The problem has been resolved, and this has been confirmed by Google. WordPress has also updated to cure the security problem. There is no threat of attack from visiting my website. Lazario, if you are still receiving an error message, you may need to do a hard refresh and/or reset your cookies/cache to access the current version of the site.

Nah- I finally have a security system on my computer that I really trust. Soon as I went back to your website (maybe 2 minutes later), everything was fine. No more pop-ups.
