People have a right to criticize and express their opinion based on the information released so far. When new information surfaces, people may change their opinion.

Although I like Grandmother Willow, I think it would have worked better and made more sense if they had made her a human character. Pocahontas takes place in such a realistic/historical-based universe, that a talking tree seems out of place.
