I know the storyline and the animation is not quite what we wanted, but I think this is going to be interesting. Remember we criticize the first teaser trailer of Tangled? That is until it opens in theaters and it was a big hit and despite it's CGI animation, it just become a great film. So, we have to wait to judge until we see the pictures or a teaser trailer. In the meantime, Wreck It Ralph is coming later this year.

That's awesome! I really liked his art direction for "Pocahontas".

And yet Pocahontas and Hunchback were the ones who took devations from the formula as well.

But still all films made money and have fans that adore them!

Lets hope this movie can do the country of Norway justice.Knowing us Americans we could possibly get it wrong or right. But from the looks of it this movie might be dynamite.

I still wonder in this version how the Snow Queen became cursed and if the one who cursed her is the true villian of the movie.Besides I wonder if the Snow Queen will be shown as someone who really misses her sister and wishes she could be reunited with her.I hope Anna is just as big a heroine as Gerda and is going to go to great lengths to find her sister.I also think that the sister story will be the main focus while the romance is the kinda of side story. It won't be as importnant and the main focus is the sisterly relationship that has been torned by fate.

I dunno, just seemed like an attempt to recapture B&tB's success to me, by appealing more to the crowd that praised the darker, more complex aspects of that film.

Sure. Although both Pocahontas and Hunchback has more haters than Mermaid, Beauty, Aladdin and Lion King, they still made a lot of money and have fans.

Although this movie is not supposed to take place in Norway, but in a Scandianvian-esque setting, I hope they're going to make it justice. Otherwise I will cringe, haha :P :D

WHAT I LIKE:

1. The sidekicks-They sound like really fun characeters. I picture Jack Black as the snowman. But, I wish they would put a female sidekick in for once.
2. The Sleeping Beauty style

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
1) The heart storyline is too cheesy 4 me.
2) Elsa and Anna being sisters. I think that's weird and I would rather want Anna figure out the SQ.[/list]

Hahaha Nah I'm sure it will be great. I bet the Art of Frozen book will be fantastic! I'm sure it will be great. For Tangled we had a time period confirmed in the 1780's. So I'm sure Disney will stay true to their word and try and capture the tradition and culture of Norway!

I actually remember you posting that thread. I was going to be the first to post with something like, “UD has a niche of Hunchback fans, who generally hate B&tB and wouldn’t want it mentioned in the same breath as the Hunchback masterpiece. Can’t wait to see how they take this,” but decided I didn’t want to get myself involved in a meltdown waiting to happen--again. That said, I do agree with most of what you said there.

...How dare you write that on this board....where Disney might be reading, and getting ideas...! :o *convulsions*

Well, fortunately there wasn't a huge fight between Hunchback and Beauty fans. And while being a Hunchback fan, I don't hate Beauty and the Beast, despite that I think the latter is a weaker movie, personally. Its not bad, but for me its not that captivating as Hunchback is.

Let's hope but I'm not so sure about it. While Tangled had a beautiful location, it was clearly not German but Mediterranean. Still a little pissed off about it.
On the other hand, they can't really relocate the Snow Queen to Spain.

Haha Yes the location for Tangled is somewhat iffy (John Lasseter said Rapunzel's tower looked like a B&B in the South of France!)

After reading what Collider told about Ralph, I hope Disney will not ruin Frozen... I explain my thoughts: I HATE toilet humor, potty humor, scatological jokes. I think this sort of humor destroy movies. I think this humor isn't good and is it so necessary to do toilet humor in an animted movie? I think not.

I hope at least Frozen hasn't toilet humor, because I hope Frozen will be a movie immortal, great and good. I want Frozen will be like Rapunzel-Tangled in which people didn't made toilet humor or scatological jokes... I hope they don't destroy Snow Queen story with vulgar and horrible genre of jokes!

Can we stop using the term scatological and just freakin call them fart jokes?? You'd think we're a bunch of biologists or something.

Humor on the study of feces . . . er, yeah. "Scatological" doesn't sound quite right.
