Disney Anniversary
Almost didn't make it because I just now brought my calendar to today's date. I even restarted my computer to get this in on time. That's how much I care. Today was the 22nd Anniversary of The Fox and the Hound. Maybe there will be a 25th Anniversary disc with OAR, unless, by some wild chance, it's OAR is 4:3. Maybe we'll never know. Also, I'm pretty certain this is the last film that opened with "Walt Disney Productions Presents" and that The Black Cauldron signaled the birth of "Walt Disney Pictures" (unless it started with a live action film [I don't really know]), which created a very recognizable blue background image with the Disney castle displayed and Tinkerbell flying over the top. Disney, unfortunately has added this opening to pretty much all its DVDs, even if the films were much older than this opening. However, this does bring up a curious question of mine about The Rescuers. The actual film of The Rescuers opens with "Walt Disney Productions Presents", but on the DVD of course, there is the blue castle logo. I question this film because there is either sound effects or music from the movie that starts during the blue logo, which I thought was only used during recent (Past 15 years) movies, thus making me wonder when the blue screen originally opened a Disney movie THEATRICALLY.

What would this wretched world be like without Disney?
