I think there will me a Tron Cameo somewhere in the film, i think it's been mentioned before.

I agree with you Tangled and Wreck it Ralph are break through's for the company, It's definitely Pixar standard.

I don't think so, Sony would rather use their own characters in films from their own Sony Pictures Animation

It just bugs me Winnie the Pooh didn't get the recognition it deserved. The story was just simple and charming, and it worked.

But is it for Sony to decide what PlayStation-era videogame characters appear in the film? Or the respective games' developers?

For example, for the film to feature Crash Bandicoot, wouldn't Disney need to reach an agreement with Naughty Dog, rather than Sony?

And Disney have such a great relationship with Square-Enix! I'd be disappointed if there are no Final Fantasy references.

This looks really great actually! At first, I was like, "Eeeeeeehhhh, not my thing." But, I saw the trailer and wow! The story is really genius and the characters are great. I saw Bowser and immediately cracked up! Jane Lynch is perfect for her part and I can't wait to see her. I can't wait for this movie too! It's so cute and clever!

BTW-YESS, A KINGDOM HEARTS CHARACTER NEEDS TO BE IN THIS!!! :D That would make my day!

This movie was awesome in concept form, but now having seen the trailer...I am even more excited. I loved the scene with all the classic characters in the therapy session. I can't wait to see more cameos when the film is actually released.

As for the Sony thing, who know they might have some of their characters in it. But just like the Toy Story characters are owned by Disney all those classic playstation characters are owned by Sony. Naughty Dog and other companies are all owned by Sony and they gain the rights to the characters. Another example would be Halo and Bungie, while it is a Bungie game, all the rights for Halo belong to Microsoft and they can do what ever they want with it.

Hopefully we get some playstation characters and maybe even a couple newer ones from more recent franchises.

Gotta remember, FF are not arcade games, so an apperance wouldn't really make sense...

SEGA are certainly putting faith in this film. Even ignoring Eggman, the rhino guy is from Altered Beast, and the zombie guy who spoke to Ralph is from House of the Dead!

Oh I'm on about CGI animation :) It's no question for me that Disney produces the best 2D animation and I think Princess and the Frog + Winnie the Pooh have superbly animated :D

Hey, why are us Disney fans saying Disney should be a Pixar standard, it should be the other way around.

Pixar have a much longer line of hits under their belt, and of very, very good quality*. While Tangled was almost there, and Wreck It Ralph looks to be up there, they still have a ways to go before they prove their pedigree.

*Except maybe the Cars line.

The trailer is great and the film looks like it will be excellent. Even though I knew about the cameos of the classic video game characters beforehand, seeing them together still made me laugh, especially Zangief and the ghost from Pac-Man. I already had very high hopes for this film and the trailer has definitely made me even more excited to see the finished product.
We're not going to Guam, are we?

Found out after this post; the Yellow robot with the sawblade hand is from Cyborg Justice.

I didn't care for the first hi res pic from this and had little interest in it. Then I saw the trailer. I will be seeing this one in the theater, methinks. It looks very good!

I'm going to ask again. Have any of you noticed the painterly backgrounds during the Sugar Rush scenes? They seem to be similar to what was done in BOLT, only amplified to be more noticeable.

The murky video quality of the trailer doesn't help, but the hi-res pics on Disney's site seem to confirm this.

Neither is any of Sega. Bowser never debuted in arcade either.

But I still hope to god no KH crap or FF characters are in it.

There still is too much macroblocking during the Sugar Rush scenes. Perhaps we'll be able to confirm when the trailer is made available in 1080p on the Apple Trailers site. I don't recall Apple's videos having much compression problems.

I can understand not wanting Kingdom Hearts references. I don't want them either (for the record, I don't dislike the Kingdom Hearts games, but I find them unsophisticated and rather childish). But why diss Final Fantasy? Admittedly I've only played no. 1 and no. 7 and got halfway through Chrono Trigger, but I think they rock. The old ones at least.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Q*Bert in the trailer. I'm even more surprised I remembered his name has an asterisk in it while typing it into this post!

And the red ghost Blinky should be Pac-Man's nemesis, he most deserves to be the leader of the ghost group. The orange ghost Clyde moves around uninterested in chasing Pac-Man but would gladly hand his butt to him if Pac-Man ran into him. Blinky just wants to chase down Pac-Man and pursues Pac-Man as though he embedded a tracking device in him. Unlike the other ghosts, Blinky gets a speed boost when Pac-Man eats an unspecified number of dots.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie!
