The hair isn't the only new thing. Instead of the CGI Ariel at the beginning and end, she's 2D. And all i can say is eeeeeeek!

Well, I like the choice of shaded 2-D hand-drawn animation itself, but whoever did the animating did a reeeeally bad job. For just one example look at the weird way her hair is at the very beginning of when you first see her before Part of That World. Or her chest staying so still while her arms move strangely in the part where she's transforming. And her face, ugh.
I atcually think that now they should shade the animation scene in Ursula's crystal ball, to match. And it makes no sense to see scenes of her dancing with Eric when she's just turning human in the next scene, so they should cut those scenes out unless they just make them silhoutted glowing "visions" of what Ariel would be like as a human with Eric, like when we see the glowing silhouette of her as a human in the cauldron in the movie.
I don't think Ursula's Lair should be that dark and I especially think Under the Sea which is supposed to be bright and fun and was in the movie should be dark!
And why don't they just make Ariel's hair a good kind of floating up, like this?:

All I know is that the queue is different. here's a video of it:atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Will you be queueing up in his actual castle ?! A la Pirates of the Caribbean ? That would be awesome if so.
If you don'd mind me asking, what are the proposed changes ?

Oh, atlanticaunderthesea, more answers to your question about the differences between the Florida and California versions:
From http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2 ... gdom-park/:
From http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2 ... gdom-park/:
From Craig:
How similar is this ride to the one in California? The way everyone talks about it, it seems like a completely new ride, but hearing the details it seems quite similar.
From Jennifer (the blogist):
The exterior is completely different, the interior is very similar. The attraction tells the story of The Little Mermaid.

Which ride was supposed to have the secret extra/extended happy ending scene? Was it the first one? I didn't notice anything more secret endingy except maybe her voice returning and getting kissed but I thought the extra ending was after the waving at the boat scene. I don't think it was the fireworks or dancing sea critters that was the extra part.
