for those of you interested, today Disney has officially released the Disney Princess Party Album.

This CD is exclusive to the Disney Stores and disneystore.com.
You can see it here: http://www.disneystore.com/movies-music ... D=12645672

In 2003 Disney decided that the Princess Franchise needed some more media. In the following years Disney began to release the Disney Princess Stories, Disney Princess Party, and Disney Princess Sing-Along-Songs DVD's. Along with these new DVD's, Disney created a princess "theme song", 'If You can Dream'. Around that same time, Disney Consumer products contracted Marty Panzer and Don Grady to write and produce a new album, featuring all-new songs for the classic Princesses. In 2005, the Disney Princess Tea Party Album was released. That sold so well that Disney decided to have Don Grady and Marty Panzer produce the Disney Princess Christmas Album. That album was released in November 2006, to coincide with the DVD release of Disney Princess: A Christmas of Enchantment. At that time the duo were already at work creating music for the Disney Princess Birthday Party Album In early 2007 the voices were recoded and the CD was scheduled to be released sometime that year.

Fast forward two years later, and the CD is finally being released, with a new title (they dropped the word 'birthday') and it's not being sold everywhere like the two previous CD's were. It also seems like more tracks were written for the CD but dropped from this release for some reason.

It's interesting that this CD was delayed two years (and seems to be incomplete), and the Enchanted Tales series of films seemed to have gone off the radar all at the same time. There has definitely been something odd occurring within Disney Consumer products regarding the Princess Franchise.

I had pre-ordered the CD last week, and according to the USPS tracking site it will be delivered today. I'll have a review up later and let you know if the voices are consistent with the last Princess CD release.

Special thanks to bruno_wbt for letting me know about the CD!!!!!!!!! :D

Jasmine : Linda Larkin (Speaking) / Lea Salonga (Singing)
These two continue to be involved in all 'Jasmine' projects, from the parks, to Disney on Ice, to DVD spinoffs.
Well, Lea didn't do Jasmine's singing voice in any of the Aladdin sequels though. That was Liz Callaway, who's also known for Anastacia and the Swan Princesses.

We have no idea if this is official, but that is what has been reported. She was not the girl in the demo reel, but that could just have been anyone doing the voicework.
*sigh* I asked Kristin Chenoweth about this after one of her concerts. She pretty much said she wasn't doing it because it was "canceled." Well, that's what she thinks! LOL! I still hope she is or will be doing her voice!

Thought I would update this thread with the news that Mandy Moore is officially being the speaking and singing voice of Rapunzel .... and from watching the trailer, it seems as if she will fit right in with the other ladies :)

Princess Tiana is obviously on the official Disney Princess website, and it seems as if she will retain her official voice through all her products and where her voice will be heard.

Isnt it amazing how, within the last few years, we have TWO brand new characters to add to the Princess line ? I find that just amazing :)

I forget where this was orginally posted, but someone was chatting about the fact Paige O'Hara (voice of Belle) mentioned that, in one fell swoop, Disney have replaced all the Princess voices.

Well, I was wondering if anyone had any further news on this ? As I was playing the Disneyland X Box game (which is amazing), and all of the Princesses featured have their usual voices, bar Belle, who has someone who sounds very much like Paige, and I am pretty sure it isnt Susan.

Was it only Belle that has been replaced perhaps ? Judging from the audio, Jodi is still very much on point for Ariel. Though again, the recordings may be old I suppose. Has the US Princess site changed at all ?

That's interesting...

Poor Paige, bless her, she's been replaced before more or less, but I feel bad if she's the only one being replaced. But a job's a job. And I guess for any of these ladies, originating a Disney Princess is enough.

Sometimes I guess they feel they need to keep the voices youthful. Ms O'Hara did just turn 56.....

I know Jodi isnt too far behind her in age, but I guess she just has the abilty to create the voice needed.

Really though, Jodi is so involved with the company, through Ariel, the parks, Toy Story, events .... she has been Ariel all the way through, and replacing here has never really happened as far as I am aware ?

Paige has been swapped numerous times .... maybe they were phasing her out ?

I do feel so sad for her though. Though she can say she originated the role, and had three films as the character.

The girl on the game does sound awfully good though. Now I'm wondering why Susan Egan has gone now though too ?!

I'm not sure this is allowed here, but on the lovely Little Ariel forum, I just saw this thread ...

http://littleariel.proboards.com/index. ... hread=5089

Arielgal has been told by Paige O'Hara that Jodi Benson is still the voice of Ariel, and that she has been the one to have been let go. So I guess that article blew it all out of proportion.

That is too bad, though I'm really glad Jodi will still be Ariel. Benson and O'Hara were both in Kingdom Hearts 2, and I thought they both still voiced their characters fairly well. Of course they're aged, but they were hardly 16-18 when they voiced their characters to begin with, so I'm not sure what the point of replacing them is unless they just don't show up when needed or they're dead.

Paige does sound too old for the role. But as a Disney legend, they should just get her some cameos in movies or other voice acting parts. Treat her with some respect. Her voice and looks are still there.

That is not a problem :)

Though thinking about Paige and Belle, she hasn't always been faithful to the role herself; she has chosen not to do certain things like House of Mouse. Whether she was just busy with something else I don't know, but Jodi Benson said in an interview she "did a couple of things for Paige". So what extent that went to, I don't know.

I still think it should be Susan Egan who voices her fully now.

I just wanted to update the list on here now, as there have been a couple of changes since last posting.

* Paige O'Hara has been replaced as the voice of Belle, along with Susan Egan being also dropped from the role as well. They have been replaced by Julie Nathanson.
* Whether it was just for that one song remains to be seen, but Jennifer Hale both spoke and sang for Cinderella in Sophia The First, replacing Tami Tappan Damiano.

Here, as far as we can gather, is the current list of the Disney Princess voice actresses.

Snow White - Starting off with a bit of an unknown here; Katherine Von Till voiced her in Kinect Disneyland Adventure released in 2011, when she was usually voiced by Carolyn Gardner. BUT Carolyn Gardner was back in 2012 for Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure. And Melissa Disney is still listing herself as Snow's singing voice on her website. So until Sophia The First airs with her fist appearance, we are at a loss as to her current voice actress. Katherine Von Till is good, but I still think Carolyn Gardner is a dead on match (perhaps slightly less irritating) than the original.

Here is an example of Katherine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DoPou6sH8g and here is an example of Carolyn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya0Fl-MwdBE

Cinderella - Jennifer Hale, with possible loss of Tami Tappan Damiano as her singing voice, replaced by being only Jennifer.

Jennifer singing and speaking in Sophia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abSYQXBJvGc and Tami Tappan singing for her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAsHtz_mb1g

Aurora - Jennifer Hale. She is listed for her in Kinect Disneyland Adventure, but it just doesn't sound like her to me ? See what you guys think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx-8oVNFZPI. Erin Torpey spoke for her in Enchanted Journey, and Cassidy Ladden sang. I don't think we have heard Aurora sing in a while, so not sure who is involved there ?

Ariel - Jodi Benson.

Belle - Julie Nathanson. We have yet to hear her sing. Here is her voicwork in Fairytale Adventure; so much like Paige!

Jasmine - Linda Larkin speaking and Lea Salonga singing.

Pocahontas - Irene Bedard / Judy Kuhn

Mulan - Ming Na / Lea Salonga

Tiana - Anika Noni Rose

Rapunzel - Mandy Moore

Merida - Kelly Macdonald (though we have yet to see her input vocally into the Princess line).

Snow White does not appear in the 2012 video game Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure. That video game that you put with Carolyn is from 2007: Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey

Aurora - Jennifer Hale. She is listed for her in Kinect Disneyland Adventure, but it just doesn't sound like her to me ? See what you guys think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx-8oVNFZPI. I don't have the video game, so I can't tell that for sure, but I think that Kate Higgins is voicing Aurora in this video game, and she might be the official voice for Aurora, replacing Jennifer Hale. (We will confirm that this December when she appears in Sofia the First)

Here's an audio CD that was released this year featuring Kate Higgins as Aurora and Jennifer Hale as Cinderella.

Sorry, I think I must have gotten confused with all the clips I was posting !!

Interesting about Aurora....she is barely used in anything so I guess that's why they could get away with using Jennifer as two princesses. Do we have any audio clips of Kate?

Kate Higgins appears on Cinderella: The Lost Chords CD singing two songs as Cinderella. But I could not find that on youtube.

She is currently doing the voice of Barbie in the Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse series and Frankie Stein in the Monster High series.

Interesting how Disney used her for Cinderella, just as Jennifer Hale was used for Aurora !

I have to admit, it was beyond annoying having Jennifer play the two roles; I know that most little girls wouldnt notice etc, but still felt odd to me.
