Toy Story Trilogy Ultimate Edition (Blu-Ray)?

Post by disneypixarfan »

To Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment:
I would like to suggest a Blu-Ray box set of the Toy Story Trilogy, with all previously released special features (except for the "Jessie's Song" demo), all-new special features, and rare and unreleased material.
Text commentaries should be included for all three movies.
All-new full-length documentaries and picture-in-picture commentaries (and all-new audio commentaries plus previously released commentaries) should be included for Toy Story and Toy Story 2.
Guides to in-jokes should be included for all three movies.
All the teasers, theatrical trailers, promos, commercials with the characters, and TV spots should be included.
English subtitles should be included for all three movies and the special features.
All of the "Toy Story Treats" should be included.
More extensive photo galleries should be included.
BD-Live and BD-Java features should be included.
Production notes and cast/crew biographies should be included.
The scripts for all three movies should be included.
All the material in the set should be in HD.
The movies should be digitally restored and remastered in 1080p HD for this set.
The original Walt Disney CG logo and the opening music should be returned to the opening of the movies.

They don't need to be restored, you don't "restore" digitally sourced movies. And we already have newly re rendered versions in full 1080p.

And much as I'd like a better release, the most recent editions are the best we're going to see for quite some time. Their fairly comprehensive as is, and if I was just a few notches less obsessed with the movies I would be plenty satisfied with what we have. They already gave us a much better release than many releases these days.

I would, but wait for 20th anniversary (which is 3 years away). Why get rid of Jessie's song demo though?

They'll probably re-release the trilogy when Toy Story 4 is released. :P

As long as they include Knick Knack uncensored, I'm all for it.

Synopsis: our heroes excitedly find and attempt to purchase Bo Peep on eBay and go on a hilarious, heart-warming adventure to rescue her when someone else's winning bid sends her off to scenic Germany, where she befriends a seemingly misunderstood vintage Bild Lilli Doll. Lilli puts the moves on Ken during the rescue and a jealous Barbie falls into a deep depression, realizing that she's not the OOAK doll she'd always believed to be. Meanwhile, Stinky Pete, full of bitterness and scarred by Amy's permanent markers, is armed with his Pre-Child Safety Protection Act Pickax in order to seek his revenge on Woody and the gang for depriving him of his museum immortality.

Will the sultry Lilli realize that Ken is an accessory only to Barbie, and will Mira Nova's surprise appearance turn Jessie into the green-eyed monster? What will drive Buzz into a delusion this time around? Will Andy ever realize how much money he lost out on for not selling Woody on eBay? Will Sid ever find a better job or will Lotso discover his troubled past and use him for a new devious plot? How will all the toys make it back to Bonnie's ex daughter-in-law's cousin's house? And most importantly, will Woody finally be able to admit that he still has laser envy? Be the first to find out in Disney Digital 3D™, coming to a theater near you November 2013.

^^ rotfl

Is it wrong of me to actually want to see this movie made? It brings everyone back together AND ties into the "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" universe/continuity. What more can you want? Seriously, Pixar could do much worse that this (*cough*Planes*cough*).

It might be a little offputting to have it so far in the future though.
