well at least i know one thing that is going to happen in the 6th book. Harry will be with the Durselys in the beggining chapters. and that is all i know.

Hagrid could be the Half Blood Prince since JK Rowling said that she edited alot of stuff from the 2nd book and decided to move it over to the 6th book. i think the 6th book will mostly focus on the idea about which sides in the story will have control of the giants.

besides Hagrid had an important role in the 2nd book and with all the stuff about him being taken from the 2nd book and moved over to the 6th book, Hagrid might be an important character in the 6th book. i am even afraid that Hagrid might die in the 6th book.

For reference's sake, here's everything we currently know about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:

* This is Harry's sixth year and will be 16 (duh)
* Harry's time with the Dursleys in this book will be the shortest yet in the series
* Harry will receive his O.W.L. scores sometime in July
* There will be a new Minister of Magic
* Gryffindor will have a new Quidditch captain
* Ron will be elligible to get an apparition license (he'll be 17)
* Voldemort will make another appearance, but will still rely on his Death Eaters to do his dirty work for him
* There will be a death(s)
* The mirror Sirius gave to Harry will play a significant role
* We will find out more about Tom Riddle's diary

I remember reading most of the the other stuff in your list but not this. I thought they'll all be 16 in this book. Granted, I *think* Ron's birthday is before Harry's on the calendar so that might make a difference. Where's your source for this bit? :?

Both J.K. Rowling's site (forget where exactly) and the official Hogwarts timeline on the Chamber of Secrets DVD. The timeline, which was done by J.K. herself, states that Ron's 13th birthday was in March of his 2nd year, meaning he'll be 17 March of book 6 and therefore allowed to go for his license.

Ah - that makes sense. But if that figures into the book it won't be for quite a while, as September to March are 6 months apart. I figure he might try for his lisence during the summer between years 6 and 7, seeing as he can't apperate/disapperate on the Hogwarts grounds anyway.

Oh, yeah, I totally forgot about not being able to apparate on Hogwarts property. It'll be interesting to see how J.K. (or, rather, Ron) handles this.

I think that if Harry Potter wasn't as long as it is it would be missing a lot of information. Also children read them and they are all great. I think mudblood probabbly refers to goric gryfendor, or one of the other founders, they or the ghosts will probabbly play a more significant role in this movie.

Hermione's birthday is in September (She bought Crookshanks as an early birthday present to herself in the summer holidays) so maybe she'll be allowed to learn during the summer and taken her test before they go back?

Actually, Hermione's the youngest of the trio, so in September of book 6 she'll be turning 16.

Wow! Thanks for the info guys. I'm a fan of HP, but didn't know she already came out with the new title for the book. Keep up with the ideas for what might happen in the book! I love this tread!

Here is a question: Who does Hermonie like better: Ron or Harry?

Haha, that's a question that's gonna start some heated debates, but I find the answer pretty obvious - Ron. J.K. has answered this question on her site saying that she's surprised so many people haven't figured it out, yet. By that statement, it's most definitely Ron because that relationship is far more transparent than Harry/Hermione. Plus the films allude to this and the filmmakers don't add anything to the films without J.K.'s consent. I believe Hermione and Ron will be together while Harry and Ginny become a couple, as well. Now that Ginny is no longer timid, Harry can get to know her spunky side better and will most likely be attracted to it (Ginny reminds me of Harry in many ways, especially in book 5).

If that was the case, Hermione would be in the year below Harry and Ron. In British/Irish school's if you are born after August 31st then you are the eldest in the year. So unless J K has stated somewhere that Hermione IS the youngest of the three then you cant be right. I'll look into it.

BTW I think its definately Ron and Hermione who are going to end up together, the clues are all there people!

Then who would Harry wind up with? It doens't sound like Ginny, sorry. There has been nothing hinting at the fact, although Ginny having a huge crush on the guy. Is Cho still in the running?

I'm pretty sure Cho's out of the running for good. She and Harry had nothing in common, so they split. I don't remember exactly what she said, but J.K. had said something along the lines of that Cho was simply a small portion of Harry's life and that he will move on to other things (including other girls because she ALSO said that Harry will be kissed again by someone else in books 6 and 7.)

LUNA LOVEGOOD!

Sorry, just my prediction. Just basing it on their conversation at the end of Book 5 while she was posting about her stolen things.

Anyhow, to yoda_four...I'm sorry but I don't think I've ever seen that jacket anywhere. I want one, too! In different magazine articles, they say that the "modern" clothes the actors wore came out of their own closets so the jacket may be hand-sewn from his grandmother or from a British or European clothier.

Humm, going back to this original title discussion, I don't think anyone will be a "prince". It just sounds way to trite for a Harry Potter story.

Not every fantasy/fairytale like story needs a prince you know! :P

I've been thinking and I think that Hagrid is the "prince". It would explain why Tom Riddle wanted him expelled and why Dumbledore made sure he stayed on at Hogwarts (or did he already think about the giant situation back then?)

PLEASE HURRY JO, I NEED TO READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!

This explains it: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/timelines/tim ... #birthyear And before you say that this is just a fan site, J.K. herself has stated that this site is extremely accurate and that she herself goes there for reference whenever she forgets something while writing her books. Plus the site's largely based on the official Hogwarts timeline that J.K. did herself for the Chamber of Secrets DVD.
