Atlantis: The Lost Empire Blu-Ray (Oct 2012)

Post by Barbossa »

Another one! Disney is really fast tracking these. According to:
http://www.homemediamagazine.com/blu-ra ... ease-26706

Atlantis on Blu-Ray should look pretty good. 8)

Now all we need is The Black Cauldron on Blu-ray, uncut! Really, I don't care if the movie isn't as popular as the others or whether or not the cut scenes will add to the story. I want to see the movie in all its unedited glory, damn it! :x

As long as they port the Collector's Edition extras, I'm probably game for this.

Yeah, I know they'll probably half-ass it like the Dinosaur Blu-Ray

I told ya man, they won't have anything left before long. Hunchback and Lilo can't be far behind.

We'll be lucky if they include half the features found one the one disc standard DVD. It seems pretty sure that at the rate they're going now special features aren't a priority.

I am hysterically glad that most of these come out while I'll be working at WDW, and while I won't have my BD player, I'll be able to bring 'em home with me!

With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true

I would really like them to start putting out their tv movies. The 3 Zenon movies, Tru Confessions, B.R.A.T. Patrol, and Earth Star Voyager. It seems as though they have some big thing for refusing to put out their most popular tv shows and tv movies.
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

Luck of the Irish before anything else, please. As far as I know that one wasn't even put out on DVD.

I just hope they're gonna keep offering their titles in DVD packaging, so I can keep unity in my collection. I understand why they'd stop releasing DVD only editions though.

"Luck of the Irish" is on DVD outside the US. "Earth Star Voyager" on the other hand has yet to be put on DVD anywhere.

I'm glad to see some of the less popular titles get a blu upgrade. I actually enjoy Treasure Planet, and I don't care who dislikes that movie. Really--what is the problem with that movie? I hear people carp about it all the time, but they never say what their actual problem with it is.

May I ask a question (from an occasional poster and lurker), is there a list somewhere of all the upcoming Disney releases? I have looked and looked and the only ones I can find are out of date. I wanted one that would include that huge dump from last month of Disney and Touchstone titles. There's so many animated features coming on blu I will have trouble keeping up!!
