Common Courtesy On The UltimateDisney Forums/Chat

You know what I have gotten so sick of this thing about how we backbite against each other on this forum and everything. On this forum even if we all don't like each other I still think we should make an effort to be nice to everybody I am not saying I am perfect I have made a couple mistakes but I got a comment today that i didn't think was that nice I don't need to mention the name of the person because the person already knows that they said it but here it is anyway!

You know what the person who said this probablly think it was funny and in good taste but I have got news for them it isn't. I have gotten dead sick of people backbiting and everything on this forum. When we speak of others we need to say nice things. As Thumper Said "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all"!

I believe in common courtesy on the forum and chat, just as in real life, too. People may not agree with everyone else, but it's important to respect other opinions and insights. That's what makes the forum great.

I believe in common courtesy, but I can't see what's wrong with expressing your feelings towards other people. Not expressing your true feelings towards me would mean that you are a backstabbing person and I would rather have people say bad things directly in my face than talking behind my back. Sometimes you have a very strong feeling about a person, in a negative or positive way, and sometimes that has to get out. Some people immediatly get it out of their system, some just go tell someone else how much they hate another person, I just think that last thing is very sad... I was in not a great mood yesterday and I must admit that when I look at that sentence now it might have been a little hard on a little guy like you

Anyway, when I browse the forums and read all the informative replies from 2099net, JimmyJackJunior, Luke and many other members I see that they are adding something to the community of this site. When I read your posts DisneyGuru, I don't see anything that adds something to the site. You either post a totally irrelevant reply that has nothing to do with the subject or you just say how much you like it or hate it and mostly in 1 sentence. You mostly manage to have 3/4 or sometimes less of your posts with spelling mistakes. I'm not the only person that has noticed this, but I probably am one of the few person that has said anything about it to you... I have even heard that people try to keep you un-banned for their own amusement, while other people are banned that can at least add something to this community...

So, I guess I'm sorry for what I have done. But I do not regret expressing the message in that sentence to you. The whole sentence might not have been a really good idea, but you get the point. Sometimes you just have to "shut up" and let intelligent people handle a subject (Not saying that's me) and not directly mess a topic up with totally irrelevant stuff.

Other members that take this into offence can PM me at any time and discuss the whole thing, but I don't see what I have done wrong by posting this, as I'm only telling the truth seen from my own eyes...

Well, if you have negative feelings for someone, you should definitely say something, but in an encouraging and private way...you know, constructive criticism. If it's not done that way, then most likely, that person won't change because they're mad about it.

I already said that that little sentence was not really constructive, but I did make my opinion constructive when I posted here... I wouldn't feel mad when someone gave me the truth, Disney Guru should realize that there's nothing to be mad about.

Just because I don't run a large Disney Fan Club like you and know all their is to know about Disney Animation like you do it doesn't mean that my posts are nothing to do with the subject and i don't always post 1 sentence posts. I know that you don't like me for something I have supposedly done but if their is something you don't like that i am doing tell me in private and don't blab it to the whole forum. Just PM me if their is something I do that you don't like and I would take it better if you did it that way. Because you know what Jens. We arnt' all as smart and as intelligent as you are and I do know a lot about Disney maby not as much as you do but I am not exactly Dumb! I have gotten plain sick of your Negativeness. For instance when I did my page on Off-Topic that was titled "My Coustom DVD Artworks" I didn't do the artworks to please you I did them because I liked them and I wanted to show them. I know that you have it in for me because I am a stuped kid in your eye! And you think that i just make posts to make my # of posts go up well for your information that is not true. I do it because I want to share my feelings. And I think the world has gotten pretty bad when people won't let other people share their positive feelings on the matter. I think it would be nice if we could let by-gones be by-gones and try to get along with everybody. And if we don't have anything nice to say just don't say it. I also think that when we are on the CHAT and on the Forum we all need to learn how to be nice and only say things if they are positive!

First of all, sometimes people don't have to do anything but be themself to get people to not like them. You are one of those people in my book! Second, I didn't blab my sentence to the "whole forum" in here, I believe you did! I really don't think I will PM you everytime I have a problem with you, that would really hurt my space for my PM's!

I don't see you as a "stupid kid", I just don't see you posting anything relevant to any topics in this forum. Oh and believe me, the world really doesn't need your "feelings" (positive or negative) when they are irrelevant to the subject you're posting in.

Sometimes you just can't get along with someone, and I won't fake my attitude towards other people when I don't mean it. That's just really evil backstabbing and I won't participate in that! Being nice towards people is a nice thing, but only when you mean it. I don't reply to all of your posts that I don't like just because there are too many and I really wouldn't like to get this discussion up every day!

I really think we should let this go by now, I have expressed my feelings and you have expressed your feelings. I wouldn't like to start a whole rant again...

Hey there Guru, I just wanted to add that I really do enjoy your posts as well as when I get the chance to visit with you in the chat room. I hope that you don't let anyones negative thoughts or words get you down. I know I don't really post a whole lot on the board most of the time but I always read all the posts and I have never noticed anything wrong with your posts, sure sometimes you may not have alot to say but that goes for all of us. But if you have something you would like to add I hope you continue to do so because I do enjoy reading your thoughts and opinions. As for other people who post things that you may not like or you disagree with I think it is best if we just take it as it is and not let it get to us. Because this is a forum where everyone is welcome to share there opinions and sometimes other peoples opinions might be hurtful towwards others but we have to rember who we are and what we stand for and just know that regardless of what someone else might say we are who we want to be because of ourselves. So what other people say can not effect that. So continue being the great person that I know you are. I do hope that all of us can be considerate to those around us. I personally feel it best to be kind and considerate to others even if they don't do everything the way I would do things. If they do something that is going to personally effect my life then sure I will talk to them about it but it can be done in a way that is not hurtful. So I hope that we can all just be friends and learn to look at each others strengths and not have to point out there weekness to boost our own ego's.
