Exactly! I think Leia is being very rude and stating her OPINION as fact. And she's actually insulting someone's lifestyle or life choices. I think she should get a warning for her behaviour.SWillie! wrote:Actually, there is... many new releases do not have the same bonus features as previous releases. As to your comment about his money - you are not his mother, and have no place telling him what to do. He obviously makes plenty enough to be able to afford this. If that's what he wants to do with his money, then so be it! Same way some people buy overly ridiculously expensive cars, or spend thousands of dollars on baseball cards - any collectible hobby, really.
If reyquila one day ends up in a position where money is an issue, he can obviously make a TON of money back by selling some of his collection.
Please keep your judgements of others to yourself. Reyquila doesn't go around the entire forum boasting about his purchases - he does so ONLY in the "how many DVDs do you have?" thread, where you are SUPPOSED to do that. For all we know, he is posting as much for himself as he is for others to see. Maybe that's the way he keeps track of his collection?

Don't bother ganging up on me, SWillie and Khonnor. I'm leaving the forums permanently, because I'm getting tired of all the bickering and pettiness going on. I've contacted Luke and asked him to delete my account.
And no, this is not because of what has gone on in the last two days. I made the decision to leave the forum BEFORE reyquila set me off with his rudeness and boasting.
Goodbye.

Yeah, doesn't sound so bad for something rare and out of print that was rather expensive to begin with.

Well, if you're going to randomly start attacking, judging, and accusing other forum members of having serious mental illnesses over something as silly as a few posts about their movie collection I doubt any of us will shed any tears about your departure.Princess Leia wrote:Don't bother ganging up on me, SWillie and Khonnor. Would you be able to post some pics of some of the multi-Movie collections?
I'm particularly interested to see some pics of The Lion King Movie Collection (6 DVD, 2004), Peter Pan Trilogy (4 DVD, 2008), Mulan Collection, The Jungle Book Collection and the 101 Dalmatians Ultimate Collection (5 DVD, 2008)....? Do they come with separate slipcovers etc etc? Where did you buy them etc etc
If possible, it would be highly appreciated....

One of my favorite things about this thread is that for the most part, everyone is so positive about other people's collections. I've been through this thread before, but I went through it again for the past two days, and I love seeing whatever people have collected.
Meanwhile, my collection has expanded so much since last summer that I have now run out of shelf space to display my Disney DVD collection. In a little over a year, I'll be moving into my own place, and I'm looking forward to finally being able to organize all my DVDs (not just Disney) to my liking.
Wonderful collections everyone.

I didn't know where else to post this but on eBay I recently bought a sweet Disney book all the way from the 1950's that tells and illustrates Disney's Cinderella with a cover designed to make it look like the storybook that opens the film.
I got it for a reduced price, and the seller, told me to tell my other Disney friends they had lots more old Disney books they would sell at reduced price. You may have to tell them (her, the name's Heidi I think?) that I, Mike who bought the 1950 Cinderella book, recommended you. The seller's name is "heidigardening". You can them by following the first link as you read on...
I just wanted to do what I promised "Heidi". Might as well show some of my little collection while I'm at it. Here's the 1950 book I bought, and the illustrations look like copied, re-drawn and re-painted (sometimes badly, unfortunately) images straight from the film:
Cinderella Storybook Replica
And I know other people have posted a version of this they own, but here's the Cinderella storybook replica (that's just a box inside) that I bought because it much more makes me feel like I have the real storybook that recorded the story you see in the film, like it really happened!:

It's been a super long time since I've posted a photo here of my collection (the last time was back on page 22) and I'd kinda like to document the way it looks now because I'm about to move into my first apartment in a month or so. In the apartment I'll have a second bedroom I can decorate with ALL of my disney stuff! Right now I have a lot packed away and split between my dad's house (where I live now) and my mom's house (where I lived practically my whole life). All in all, this is only about a sixth of my overall collection of Disney stuff. It's a nice little corner of my bedroom though!

Here's the bottom of my bookshelf with assorted Disney plushes and stuff.

Here's the top of my bookshelf with the vases I made with pics from DAC's and Pixar films (some of you may remember me having 3 I made, but one broke when I moved back to IL from PA
), 3 really old Mickey, Minnie, and Donald metal toys I found in an antique store, a Rapunzel from Disney on Ice, and a lantern I assembled with some Christmas Lights from IKEA.

This is the top section of my movie shelf with all of my blu-rays and Funko Pop Disney figures.

This is the middle section of my movie shelf with all of my Disney DVD's, including my collection of all the DAC's and their sequels!

And this is the bottom section of my movie shelf that has everything else I own on DVD.

I remember you posting the vases a year or so ago. I'm so sorry one of them didn't survive a move. I've loved these vases since I first saw them long ago and wondered how they were made. Did you get the idea for those collage vases on the Internet?singerguy04 wrote:the vases I made with pics from DAC's and Pixar films (some of you may remember me having 3 I made, but one broke when I moved back to IL from PA![]()
Anyway, your Disney collection is fantastic! I love it that a huge Maleificent-as-dragon plush "guards" the room.

Believe it or not, I posted those pics about 4 years ago! I made all of them back in '07 and '08. I got the idea from working as a counselor at the summer camp I worked at from '06-'08. You can take any paper and use stuff called mod podge to coat the paper on to any surface. The paper is then sealed to the surface of that object. All the vases were really easy to make, because I had a bunch of pictures saved up from a Disney day by day calendar I had been getting for a few years. Then I mod podged them to glass vases I picked up from Hobby Lobby on sale. The vase on the left was my first one, and it's just my favorite pics. The vase on the right is all villains. The one that broke was all heroes.Sky Syndrome wrote:I remember you posting the vases a year or so ago. I'm so sorry one of them didn't survive a move. My 3' tall Maleficent Dragon is by far one of my favorite things I've ever owned lol. I picked that up while I was working at The Disney Store out near Philly. We only got 3 delivered to our store, which was when the Sleeping Beauty PE came out. 2 of them sold, but that one remained all the way to the day after Christmas when it was marked down 50% from $100. That's when I decided to cave and pick it up because I also got my employee 20% off discount which brought her down to $40 and then I had a $30 store gift card a friend gave me. So I ended up getting her for only $10 out of my pocket. It's very dear now because it reminds of the time I actually worked for Disney, Sleeping Beauty is my favorite DAC, and it reminds me of a good friend I had to leave behind in Philly. A big part of the reason why I left PA was because a friend betrayed me and turned all of my other friends against me. The only person who tried to help me was the person who gave me that gift card for Chirstmas. After moving back to IL, I completely lost contact to that person because I was shut out by everyone else and I shut them out in return. Now that evil dragon reminds me that even though your world can be flipped upside down and your friends can become your foes, there's still hope for someone to stand by your side.

Thank you for sharing that. I've never heard of mod podge before. I guess it's commonly found in craft stores. Some day I want to make a collage vase.singerguy04 wrote:Believe it or not, I posted those pics about 4 years ago! I made all of them back in '07 and '08. This is really interesting, what is it about the Australian releases that you like? The ratings logos are nearly universally loathed (I don't mind them).pick wrote:I'd really like to see how's the australian collections are looking now! I unfortunetly have to agree with this. No one is adding to his collection if he/she buys the same title over abet different edition you only hold one more copy of that particular title. With that said I'm guilty of buying some titles more than once but I have find valid reason to do so. Now since I mostly only collects the shorts and features. My main collection is WDT I have only brought other shorts collection if rather there is better restoration print found elsewhere or shorts that hasn't appeared in WDT collection.Princess Leia wrote:The eyerolling was for the multiple versions of some movies in the pics, which are completely unnecessary and a waste of money.
