Cool, if I ever see that game, I'm picking it up!
Yeah, I love to get ANY Gremlins merchandise I can. That's my second of the three figure sets. The first set I got had Gus Gremlin, a Gremlin on a jackhammer, and... one with a ... pick, I think. No, a sledgehammer, I believe. I found that one at a comic con, and my new one I found at Half-Price Books. However, in regards to the first set, the Jackhammer Gremlin broke off its base the second I took it out of the packaging. Well, it is attached so slightly, so no surprise. I had to superglue it, but now he's straight up instead of at an angle. Honestly, the are packaged way too securely, ha.

I haven't been able to buy much lately, shouldn't be buying anything, but I am addicted to Hallmark ornaments.

I always try to get some more Hallmark ornaments after Christmas (actually, sometimes that's the only time I get any), when they're on sale. Money was tight this year, and I also couldn't find a lot of the ones I wanted after Christmas, as usual, but this one was high on my list and I was happy to land one! Yes, it lights up!

Yeah, yeah, I like this movie. Actually, I didn't get the exact same Hallmark ornament as above. It looks the same, except he is playing a guitar and has no Santa hat, and it was half the price from Hallmark's new line of budget ornaments at Walgreen's stores. They're pretty good ornaments for the price, and they make a lot of Disney ones too. You just have to look at the paint jobs. I wanted the one above, but they were sold out locally at the one store that carries the main Hallmark ornaments (besides Kohl's, which didn't carry the few I was after the most). Truth is, I like the guitar one better, except the paint on the "A" isn't perfect on that cheaper brand, but good enough to buy for 3.50 at half price after Christmas. I should go see what else they have left... but I really can't spare the cash...
EDIT: Went back for 75 percent off today and got this Christmas Vacation musical Hallmark ornament:

My last hallmark ornaments for this year, probably, bought at 75 percent off in a neighboring town. Missed a lot of good ones, but I was really happy to get these. I WILL check one more store when I get back to Austin. I still would like to find the Pepe Le Pew/Penelope one, but I guess those were pretty popular. Wanted to get it for someone special who loves those characters, even though I am at a loss right now on whether or not she and I will ever even be around each other again. We're both out of town right now, and she's very tough to read. Sometimes, she seems very enthusiastic, but most of the time she never even writes to me... But, where was I?
Here are the two I just got yesterday:

I do like last year's Prep and Landing better, but at least now I have SOMETHING of Prep and Landing.

Clearance Hallmark ornament...

More Gremlin finds at Half Price Books:

I had been collecting these hoping to find the one with the female Gremlin, but further research indicates there might not be anymore of these sets than the three I got, and the female might only be in the two-pack of much larger figures and also in a statue form. *sigh*
Cool that I have all of these now though. I am contemplating getting another of the set with Gus, because I had to do a fix it job on the jackhammer gremlin that, well, I can't believe it's held out this long... Still, right now I can't toss money around like that, and they are likely to be unavailable again soon.

A Dance With Dragons by George R.R Martin - 2.50
Your Movie Sucks by Roger Ebert - 2.00
I am going to try to read the Song of Fire and Ice Books again, but the problem is I have a really hard time focusing when I try to read. For example, I cannot pay attention when the TV is on or if music is playing.

Hope yours last much longer than the blue ones I bought myself a year or so ago did. They lasted a month (I mostly used them to listen to my MP3 player while cleaning clients' houses) before sound stopped coming out of one earphone.enigmawing wrote:Needed new headphones anyway.
Only about $5 since I was able to use the giftcard I'd gotten at Toys Я Us for buying the Lady and the Tramp Blu-ray.
The back of the package warns it's not candy so it shouldn't be eaten.

My original U.S. releases of these recently got damaged (argh! They were mint, too!), so these are coming out just in time!

Can't believe I actually found this at a Barnes and Noble today!

Spent too much at that B&N today, actually. I also found this. Missed a bunch of them inbetween though (including the one with Hook,
). I think I only have the first 2 besides this one, and this is number 7.

I just preordered J.K. Rowling's new novel The Casual Vacancy from Amazon (for $21); I'm so excited for this that I'm kind of jumping up and down right now. Love the HP series and even though this is drastically different, it's still Rowling and you've got to love her.

Been slowly finding these Boom Disney comics at a range of low prices (usually around 3 dollars or so) at Half Price Books. Just the PIXAR and Muppet ones though (and still need to find a few of the Muppet ones). Wish they'd start having the Mickey, Donald, Scrooge, and Disney Afternoon titles though, not to mention the recent Tink graphic novels.
And I finally got the adult Mary Poppins umbrella when seeing the touring version of Mary Poppins yesterday, though both my date and I sorta felt the show was a dud, myself being a huge fan of the film, and she having never seen it before.

I was there last summer. Got Dumbledore's Wand, Parchment, Quill, and several leakycon stuff including a Wrock CD.Scarred4life wrote:
I just got back from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Orlando, so needless to say, I bough a few items. The main one being Hermione's wand. I'm so excited, I've been wanting one for forever! Now I can add it to my weapons collection
However, no 6:00-midnight showings.

I never did finish getting the original U.S. release, but I have most of them. I will finish getting those originals through ebay/Amazon one day, just for completion's sake.slave2moonlight wrote:My original U.S. releases of these recently got damaged (argh! Anyway, I've caught up with the new releases. I bought the second/final volume of Codename Sailor V and Volumes 3 through 5 of Sailor Moon. There're only 5 more volumes of Sailor Moon, right? The fifth volume is the end of the third story arc, so I'm guessing there'll be 5 volumes for the last three arcs, too. I wish it was coming out faster though. I really hope the animated series will be re-dubbed and have a comeback in the future!

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
