Does anybody know how to do a review on here?

Post by Wonderlicious »

I would like to be a journalist in the future and I would like to get some experience. I like Disney films and would like to do a review on here as some experience. Does anybody know how to do a DVD review on here?

Hey, welcome aboard! I'm really into journalism as well and have quite a bit of experience with it, so I can relate... reviews are really fun to write. Feel free to PM me anytime. As for writing them for this site, I don't really know what the policy is, but your best bet would be to PM Luke, the site administrator. I look forward to posting with you. :)

luke is always so nice to those wishing to be published on this board. to get a review published, try writing one in the same format as those posted on this site and emailing it to luke via the discussion board's website. it may go through revisions or editing, but if luke approves, he will post it himself (crediting you as the author of course). it's really very easy and lots of fun. i've gotten two or three up myself. :D

Yup, that's basically all there is to it. Just make sure to notify him before you send in a review in case someone else already has dibs on reviewing the title you were thinking of. Other than that, your review will almost certainly be published on the site. :D

Are you allowed to do region 2 reviews? I'm not from America and I can't do reviews of region 1 dvds. There are some dvds which aren't available in the USA, others are slightly or very different so am I allowed to do reviews for these?

We've never done Region 2 reviews before, but I'm sure Luke would be glad to have you review those because then you could provide in-depth reviews on releases that Region 1 has yet to receive. There's a simple way to find all this out: Just send him a PM. :D
